Your exact words were "the coasters don't have the appeal for me... It was support rides like The Flume and Hex that made it"
So unless you didn't really believe what you were saying, your post as you know was stating how your main draw to Towers was namely Hex & The Flume and you care little for their major rides bar 2. Which can't be true when all the rides they're shutting were in a rubbishy state anyway.
I mean, I might go and secretly enjoy broken rubbish like Duel more than "best coaster in the world" Nemesis, but I can still think objectively about where the real draw actually is.
Still a great shambles to be shutting so many attractions because they're fudged and/or not as popular as the rest.

I don't think anyone has claimed that people visit specifically for The Flume, but it was very popular and gained long queues despite having a good throughput. Filler rides are a vital part of a park's lineup as they take pressure off the main rides/coasters as well as there being more rides for guests to enjoy.I never hated The Flume for the record, it's a very good log flume and probably the longest one in the country at least.

Wouldn't that be like Dragon's Fury on steroids? That'd be fun.

I don't know the official reasoning, you'd have to ask Merlin that. But keep in mind these rides are all some of the oldest attractions in their respective parks.
I wish they'd just announce the proper reason to be honest, as you say these are very popular rides and can't just be swept under the carpet

    Ok reality check time.
What is the biggest killer in France this year?
    A ) terrorists
    B ) transport.
Give you a clue.. It's B by a long stretch. (3250 reported deaths in 2013 last public data available https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_traffic-related_death_rate)If we were logical we would stop panicking about terrorists and ban cars!
(By being scared you are also justifying the attack!)
Edit. I realised that the above sounded like I wasn't horrified by the attack. I was, but I was equally horrified that the press of the world have given the terrorists exactly what they wanted. Terror.

One of the reasons I found sub species so enjoyable vs. Any of the other mazes is because the actors interacted with YOU. Not the group, but you as an individual. And its not even like it's generic comments either, one of the actors grabbed my arm which had a charity wristband on and said "oh charitable are we? Why don't you donate me your organs". Stuff like this is what really make or breaks a maze for me.

A little off topic maybe, but zero hour contracts suck for pretty much every employee. Nearly no one would not rather have at least a short (say 16 hour) contract with the opportunity of plenty of other hours on top, rather than a contract that guarantees nothing. 'Oh, but some weeks they might not want to work' you might say. Well try telling your boss you don't fancy any of the hours offered for a couple of weeks and see how long you have any offer of more work for. And that's why a proper contract comes with leave. Zero hours are stacked in the employers favour in pretty much every respect.

Anyway. Maybe a restructure is what the place needs but not a retreat from offering a decent service, something which they arguably struggled to do already. Will be interesting to see how this ends up looking from a visitor perspective.

I like to think the Intamin designers jumped in the wine as they were designing Baco. It's the only explanation.

That vile slackfish has essentially murdered the park, at least for the Orca's in which soon there will be none left, Black fish is one of the worst things to ever exist.

Least the new rides sound interesting especially the dark rides. Hopefully the park get through this.

I'm going to have to go down the middle and say Cogs.  Low maintenance, live for a long period of time, don't get too attached to you, etc.  Plus no nasty vet trips.

We had a couple like that, although one was more a mummy's boy, and the other a daddy's girl.
When our son was born they used to sleep either in, or very near the bottom of his Moses basket (we quiet often had to fish them out, but eventually gave up as they would just crawl back in and curl up at the bottom), if he stirred, they would come and find us in the house or jump on the bed and wake us up, one time boyo decided to try and get up on his hands and knees while in the basket, lost balance and fell out, our biggest cat jumped under him to break his fall (even though the basket was already on the floor).
We've never had a dog, but we regularly dog-sit a friends, who is great fun too, so we love both cats and dogs equally. My son keeps going on about getting a dog since our cats died.

Thank goodness I have you here to yet again point out how wrong I have been. I'd be making blunder after blunder without your guidance and correction, so reliably I don't even have to ask for it. I shall try harder in the New Year to not embarrass myself and the community quite so frequently.
