I don't know if this has been said, but since it is based on the railway tracks, could platform 15 only be a dusk opening maze? It seems a bit flawed if it is considering its the one that is being promoted the most.
-
Has it not been 6 all summer?
-
With new trains, it would still be there from the chainlock design on the track.

Does anyone know as of when rameses revenge was reduced to just one cycle, making the ride significantly shorter then before and causing it to lose its kick a bit.
-
Its been down for a few days now, last week when it was running though, it felt as if at times it was going to stall.
-
If it is a merlin park it could only be cwoa as its the only one with animals, but it could be any park across the country with animals, an example being Drayton manor.
-
There will most likely be some sort of canopy going over the route in that area.

Making the case even worse for loggers survival, from saw one can see branches in the trough and it seems as if there is no belt on the first lift. However from samurai one can see there are still a few boats within the station but the actual queue line already is getting a multitude of plants growing through it.

But when people complain about Stealth being closed and saying they weren't told when both on the entry plaza and online it clearly states it and then they claim they should have free entry, despite being there just a few weeks ago.
-
The thing is with stealth imo is that when it is running well it will be the most efficient and reliable ride on park, but as soon as it has an issue for the next few weeks it will be non stop breaking down. Just to say as well there is a blue crane mounted to the tracks in the station, which is seemingly being used for cable replacement.

At least this re-theme cant be as bad as tomb blasters.....

If I'm right in thinking, it is the green boat which is missing, which disappeared fairly early on into last summer, and hasn't been on the track since.

Does anyone know why both trains still have a car down, despite it being like this since the start of the season?
-
Most likely yes, but surprising considering it was running perfectly fine at the weekend.
-
They were having a significant amount of problems today. Bot ones that stopped the ride, but lots that hampered the throughout and overall experience..
-
If it has been testing with dummys, it will be open by mid next week at the earliest.
-
Considering last year it opened on the last day of May and went into October, meaning it lasted four months, before it was said it had to undergo maintainance of an extended period, could it be that Slammer has to complete winter like testing every four months.

First off, the reason as to why they may be doing this is because Inferno does not have proper dispatch audio like the rest of the coasters, and as I have seen it there is only one operator who does this. For the wave acoustic cannons, they were pretty much filled with dust rendering them useless, but they seem to have been cleaned up a bit.
-
It is because if this reoccurring issue surrounding the lift chain, as it is haven to be evacced so often. Its the same reason as to why oblivion operators wear them, because there is often a switch which needs to be reset at the top of the lift, so a normal staff member can go and reset it instead of having to call out engineering...
-
They do, but over the last month ir so there has been a fault with this system, so it can be run, but not maximum efficiency, I believe they are waiting for a part to fix the cooling system anyway.

The one positive that can come of todays, lets be honest abysmal operations, is the fact that engineering was present within five minutes every time they were required and the park seemed fairly committed to attempt to get everything open. For example on Colossus there were 4-6 engineers there till about 3pm from opening with the lift chain system being largely disassembled at the base. They could have just left it for another day and just said that the ride was undergoing maintenance, where instead they opened it. Same with Stealth, engineers probably spent most the day trying to keep it running, which was definitely a losing battle. As well as this, every ride seemed to have a large amount of operators working upon them, greatly speeding up the dispatches of many working rides. Samurai with 3 people doing restraints, 2 each, near enough halved the loading times.
-
They are licensed to play it, as it is used during fright nights, most notably in the Colossus queue line.
-
This may just be because I was on a different pod, considering I mostly go on pod 2 which seems to spin the best, but it felt as if the ride had been greatly toned down compared to the last few weeks when it had a real kick to it and properly got you flipping.

I have thought about this extensively over the last few hours and believe I have came up with two likely issues. At the beginning of the season when Colossus opened the lift had developed some new noises towards the bottom of the lift which I described as a grinding, sounding as I the metal was wearing itself down. This means one of two things, either the mounting for the lift chain has become damaged and is causing problems, caused by the friction between the chain and the side mounting to the left, which I seems to be rubbing into. This would also create the burning oil smell as the oil on the chain would be being heated to extremely high, abnormal temperatures if this was occurring. The other less likely option Is that, as we know major work, likely a chain replacement happened over the winter, was completed incorrectly to some minor extent, such as possibly the actual chain being a slightly different size, potentially causing it to jam. I personally feel as if the first option is much more likely to be the issue itself, but the latter is still a possibility. At the end of the day this is just speculation, so I wouldn't be surprised I it was another problem. Just thought I would add this on the end, noticed on train 2 at the back and not on 1 as the anti rollback mechanism beneath the floor was being significantly louder then usually and seemed to be heavily scraping either the undercarriage or something up the lift, to a far larger extent then normal.

Colossus has currently been down all day, not even a test train. Engineers have been sat at the bottom of the lift looking at the lower part of the chain, cog and motor. It seems as if it has become jammed and stuck in place by maybe some dirt or something, or the motor has gone... Hope it is not the latter of the two...
