  1. Not everything though. Otherwise we could suggest that bubbleworks didn't need it's new lighting on the fountain finale. The actual ride experience counts almost as much as the ride *actually* being available.Staff interaction, they're good. But not when they affect throughputs, which is exactly whats been happening when myself and others visit the park. They need to do what one of my lovely targets is "find the right balance between throughput and guest service" Yes, considering the majority of the time is supposedly spent on the lifthill [I've not been on it], I'd imagine it'd add to guest experience a fair bit. Themed, something to look at, improves everything visually.Guest experience counts overall, otherwise majority of the changes at chessington would not be happening. The same should be said for thorpe.
  2. Kevin, your pessimistic attitude is exactly why places don't improve, just wallow in their own self pity. It'd definitely affect guests experience, and would affect the business in a little way - it could also increase the rides scores in KPI's.You talk such rubbish sometimes.(however, I haven't visited thorpe this year, so I'm not gonna sign petition. I don't think it'd work on same way as towerstimes one did though)

    The News

No, but there's consequences.. A lot of drying to do.Using water cannons create a whole them against us thing which they don't wanna do. It could escalate. But my god, it'd stop these fires.
  4. Mate. I got told that "Imperial Leather stuff has been removed on bubbles" when I mentioned that it's completely gone on the flume. When I meant completely gone with flume, I literally meant it. There's only one thing the entire ride, and thats a piece of paper on the vending machine telling you where to get a refund if it breaks on you.Bubbleworks? It's exactly the same. Logos are literally everywhere. I know which one out of us two to trust now...
  5. Waterpark is open til 9pm over august - it's worth going in the evening as it's quiet. Middle of the day is full generally.
  6. Just a quicky - could we update the LC12 subthread thing to be called "LC12/The Swarm" or something - just so people know exactly what we're on about by referring to both names.Helps the general public and new members as well, is all
  7. Over the soldier bin? Mate.
  8. Just a quicky:Chessington is currently trying to do it's own scaled back version of Towers' marketing now.Scaled back, as in.. it's purely a poll on facebook.. with the wonderful catchy name of "Are you a brave adventurer? If you are what is your favourite Chessington ride?" .Thought you'd like to know .
  9. How do you pronounce Wanyama? Is it literally WAN YAMAAAAA!?I love the zoo, and it's great it's getting must needed investment. Soon it'll be the best part of the park again
  10. Actual damnit. I was gonna post a pic, but realised it's on the previous page. Bleerrr!
  11. I love how every bloody time sommet appears at the beginning, numpties think it's the rides name.Remember all the "Ride the demon of the dark forest" things for thirteen?

    Text Number?

Which'd in turn make them think "oh a lot of people have the same opinion about this" and therefore start to take it into consideration slightly.
  13. This. It's not racism, I think its just their culture really. Neither do they listen to instructions, and it's only usually the dads who will listen to authority, noone else will.
  14. But landscaping does affect everyone and does affect repeat custom .
  15. Well yeah, but they're trying to catch up to the mouse in other ways than just visitor numbers... Long shot, but at least they seemingly want to try
  16. Well, I think they deserve to be compared even more now, particularly with their new "Merlin Magic Making" section with their own versions of imagineers coming into play - and the words coming out of their mouth literally being "playing catch up with the mouse"
  17. Ahh damnit, I was hoping they just wanted to ride the ride all to themselves.
  18. Flipping heck, this shows me how little I visit thorpe and pay attention to that side of the park nowadays. The lake is a random river streamy area! Between fish and the land, aww
  19. Ahh gotta love queue jumpers. Nothing better than seeing one jump right infront of your face, and telling them to leave the queue and walk the entire way around. It's great fun.My favourite place at the moment is the Blade/Ripsaw queues. They always jump over thinking its one or the other, and getting stupidly confused. All the time, taking longer than it would just to enter via the proper ride entrances
  20. Completely agree. Preferred the rays. But apparently it was a sealife decision to add them (part of the "new attraction at every merlin place" thing they've got going on) rather than a towers decision, as shown by pretty much every sealife in the world getting them/more of them this year.

    Television

It's taken me a while to notice this, but WIN. It's absolutely amazing. Infact, I've got the first two series' on DVD thanks to a wonderful girly
  22. Nope. There's a total of 4 in the tank now
  23. Queues are under an hour usually.Unfortunately, you've missed the best week of the summer holidays. First week is dead - for example, most queues have been under half hour all day (even 10mins for main coasters at 1pm). It'll become busier from next week, but still very worth going to.
