jmgpannal
It was £5 with a premium pass for summer nights last year so assume it will be this year. JamminGamer
JamminGamer
Strange.... why would they post one thing in one place and contradict themselves :/ Ahh well £5 is well worth it
Ricky
Doesn't it say at the base of both passes, "some events may be charged at individual attractions"?
JamminGamer
I haven't got mine yet so I couldn't tell you Picking it up later for a more usable date interval
Ricky
Checked mine earlier it does state an entry fee may be applied (this is on the premium pass) JamminGamer
THORPE PARK
Just to confirm, the reference to Evening Events pricing should not have been on the Summer Nights page and has been removed. The Annual Pass rate applies to all Merlin and Thorpe Annual and Season passes - including Premium passes JamminGamer, JoshC., Matt 236 and 2 others
Benin
Not sure why Fright Nights is free for Premium Pass people but not Summer Nights... Is it because it's not as financially assured to be a success? Probably... JamminGamer
Adam P
More than happy to spend £5 on Summer Nights, one of the best parking experiences last year (once we had battled for the tickets mind!)
JoshC.
So does this mean Thorpe have accidentally confirmed there'll be evening events, similar to the Comedy Nights and such, a la last season? I wonder if VIP AP holders get Summer Nights for free (you'd hope so!) JamminGamer
jon81uk
The terms for annual passes do state 12. An Annual Pass is subject to additional charges for entry into: 12.1 any concerts taking place at the Attractions; 12.2 any themed and/or special events taking place at the Attractions; 12.3 secondary attractions at Chessington Resort; 12.4 all Christmas event openings; 12.5 secondary attractions at Alton Towers Resort Theme Parks including, but not limited to, the Alton Towers Waterpark, Extraordinary Golf, Alton Towers Spa and Scarefest mazes; 12.6 secondary attractions at THORPE PARK including but not limited to Fright Night scare mazes; and 12.7 any other event as determined by The Merlin Entertainments Group from time to time. see http://www.merlinannualpass.co.uk/terms.aspx I assume Summer Nights counts as a special event and therefore isn't included on any pass (the restrictions of the standard pass are set out separately in term 13). But £5 for an evening with shorter queues than usual isn't a bad deal and if you have a standard pass then its cheaper than parking!
jmgpannal
Its a separately ticketed event that officially starts after the park closes hence the extra fee. Fright Nights is an extension to the day hence no charge for Premium Pass holders
EC!
Thorpe needs to stop doing this on their FB page, its so bad lol Doc and JamminGamer

JamminGamer
On the subject of 2014, does anyone know if Loggers is getting a new tunnel? Maybe, doubt it's the thing they'd shout about right now though. Once we have the before opening day preview things we might find out what's been spruced up/changed/added

It wouldn't have to be a big budget job, a warehouse building (kept pitch black) with a wooden frontage would do fine. FrightNights04
And maybe they could get rid of them green lights so its actually dark in there! Worthy9992
Worthy9992
Green lights are the emergency lights and they have to be green for health safety reason as just in case of a emergency the lights will come on after all I don't wanna try an evac in the pitch black
Fred
You can have emergency lighting which doesn't have a constant green light shining. They just chose to have that system without much thought process. Tbf, it's not like it makes a huge difference to the experience now does it? Worthy9992
It makes the engerneers job more quicker in the morning to see the green light so he knows it's working properly then taking a key and manually turning them all on one by one every morning as the ride can not open if they don't work and I'm also sure they have the green lights in all there building can you imagine how long a ride like X will take if he has to go round manually turning them on every morning it never open by 9:30 or 10:00 And no it makes not a massive diffrent a it still very dark in the tunnel
Fred
Excuses excuses excuses. It'd take a whole couple of minutes to test them. It'd be open on time regardless of if they had to check them or not.

It's not very emergency is it if it's on all the time?
