August 29, 201510 yr comment_216274 A lot of the local secondaries round here have scheduled two of their inset days for 1/2 Oct this year, might not mean much but might also keep it in consideration if planning trips to Thorpe or Chessie.
September 16, 20159 yr comment_217687 What's gonna be the least busy days for Fright Nights? The first Sunday
September 16, 20159 yr comment_217721 Last year the first day (Friday) was the quietest day, and Sunday was the 2nd quietest
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218465 I can't do either or these days anymore What's the next best day, the Saturday 10th or Sunday 18th?
September 23, 20159 yr comment_218466 Both will be very similar I'd say. Sunday 18th might be better if you're staying till close as more people will leave earlier than on the 10th. But other than that, there shouldn't be much difference.
October 20, 20159 yr comment_221528 I'm thinking of going fright nights again but don't have enough for directors cut again... so. sunday november 1st (the last day of FN)..how busy do you guys think it will be in terms of both rides and mazes?? will I get on all the mazes without fasttrack?? thanks
November 1, 20159 yr comment_222533 A couple of months ago I made a few predictions as to how busy the park would be for the rest of the year, now October is over we can look at how accurate I was. I predicted: Actual turnout Meaning I was right on 25/31 of the days (81%) and was off by one on the remaining 6/31 days (19%). Overall Sundays were quite a bit quieter than expected, however the half term was constantly busy no matter which day you decided to visit. Based on numbers alone the 29th was the busiest day of fright nights, however it still was not as busy as the busiest days of the year, which were the 15th and 16th of July. Note that these are just numbers, and are not a 100% accurate indicator of actual crowd level. They are based on queue times which are often inaccurate, however do give a general idea of how busy the park is.
March 1, 20169 yr comment_228782 do any of you guys know how bus MAP day gets? it will be my first one
March 1, 20169 yr comment_228783 Usually not busy at all, they have a reduced capacity. But you have to expect slower operations, reduced lineup possibly and a lot of new staff. Oh and MAP holders who think they are better than everyone (looks back at that time I saw someone shout at a Swarm member of staff because they didn't get first go on back row or something).
March 1, 20169 yr comment_228796 Haha! cheers Ryan, interesting to see that MAP day has sold out so quickly!
March 1, 20169 yr comment_228800 The Sunday AP day at Chessington still has plenty of tickets... as most people are doing Chessie on the Saturday and Thorpe the Sunday. The weather is a big factor on AP days, even if it's sold out many may not turn up as it hasn't cost them anything, and lots of people are local so may pop in for a few hours, especially if the weather is poor. Since they've stopped letting you take two friends for a tenner the AP days have been a lot calmer and enjoyable.
March 14, 20169 yr comment_229627 Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could tell me how busy it will be on the following dates:- Friday 18th March 2016 Friday 25th March 2016 Thank you!
March 14, 20169 yr comment_229640 Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could tell me how busy it will be on the following dates:- Friday 18th March 2016 Friday 25th March 2016 Thank you! Friday 25th is good Friday so schools and colleges will be off, the 18th will be a lot quieter I'd imagine!
March 14, 20169 yr comment_229641 Thank you Thorpe Addict!By "A lot quieter" I'm guessing you mean that there will be a few people around, but compared to a "Normal" day, it will be quieter?
March 14, 20169 yr comment_229645 By "A lot quieter" I'm guessing you mean that there will be a few people around, but compared to a "Normal" day, it will be quieter? 18th should be very quiet yes. You can have a look at the queue times for good Friday last year here, compared to Friday the 13th of March here for an idea.
March 14, 20169 yr comment_229741 How busy do you think will be 19th March (Sat) and 24th March (Thurs) as I am going both days?
March 21, 20169 yr comment_230177 Probably not busy at all, most will be going for the Easter weekend from Friday-Monday. Enjoy!
March 28, 20169 yr comment_230645 Hi How busy would it be on the 30 of March? (the first nice day after a rainy easter) And should I get a fast track? Thanks
March 28, 20169 yr comment_230659 How busy do you guys think that the 4th or 5th of April will be and which date would be better? Estimated queue tumes would be amazing if possible. Thanks.
March 28, 20169 yr comment_230660 30th march might be slightly busy due to it being half term, good weather could mean a few queues. But some people are probably waiting for Derren Brown to open before they go. The same with 4th or 5th April, I'd always go a Tuesday over a Monday as some people take a long weekend and go Thorpe on Monday/Friday's. But there probably won't be too much of a difference.
March 28, 20169 yr comment_230664 I'd say the 4/5th will be busier than the 30th, simply because the 4/5th is the second week of the Easter Half Term when kids start getting completely bored and parents get desperate and drag them to theme parks to keep them occupied, but frankly any of those dates will be 'more busy than an average week day', 40-80 mins queues likely.
