Foddabyte Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 How do you think thorpe will get round the announcements ? Use Jigsaw's voice Which some people may find hard to understand. Or ruin the buildup and overall atmosphere by using an average joe's voice. Quote
James Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I'm hoping that the announcements will be done in a video style with Jigsaws voice, but for breakdown announcements I think they should be average Joe's voice. If a breakdown announcement was done in Jigsaws voice, people may think its not real and part of the theme, wheras if its average Joe's voice it will make it clear whats happeened and easy to understand. noob230 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 It would be good to have Jigsaws voice in announcments:"If ya wanna survive my games, do not sit on the queline fences" ect. ectAnd please dont point out that the queline fences have barbed wire on the top, It was just an example Quote
Sheepie Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 LMAO! I totally had a vision of it being like, "don't sit on my fences, that's gotta sting". Quote
TimR Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I have to agree with James on this one, because people may think that it is part of theme and not take it seriously, although I hope SAW will not have as many breakdowns as some of the other rides in the park. Quote
Louis Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I would have thought it would have been done in Jigsaw's voice for train dispatching & loading etc, but for general announcements such as breakdowns and q-jumping and other general queue announcements would just be a normal voice. Quote
meme5053 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Aaah, speculation! the enthusiast's entertainment! As you have all said, for most announcments, jigsaw's voice, for emergency announcments, normal voice.End of! Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 eurgh! health and safety these days is ridiculous! they're such party poopers! Tell me about it. Whatever happened to this non-spinning windmill that H&S wouldn't allow to spin, has it been dropped? I don't see the windmill anywhere. Also, I suppose SP are good for something after all: Quote
meme5053 Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Whatever happened to this non-spinning windmill that H&S wouldn't allow to spin, has it been dropped? I don't see the windmill anywhere. It wasn't health and safety that didn't allow it, it was the surrey council. It couldn't spin due to interfering with the aircraft control or something... Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 That was it, yes. But it doesn't seem to have been erected on the saw site, has it been dropped altogether? Quote
Calum Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 That was it, yes. But it doesn't seem to have been erected on the saw site, has it been dropped altogether?Work hasn't started on it yet really, if u look to the left of the entrance u can see a footer on the ground, that's where it'll be. Quote
Sidders Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Oh good, I was getting worried they'd dropped one of the major focal points of the ride theme.Hopefully the windmill will be covered in blood spatters and possibly a derelict-looking frame to make it fit in. Quote
d.m.k Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 I know it sounds a bit picky, but one thing that would annoy me is if the ground is un-themed. It would be pretty easy to stain some bloody footprints heading towards the entrance of the queue and a few blood splatters across that main area, otherwise leaving it looking like new laid brickwork will spoil the great attention to detail they've put into the other parts of the area. I would love to see some heavy bass from the Saw sountrack in the station too. They should get a Bose Cannon over from Inferno :PI hope everyone who's going for Friday or Saturday has a great time! Looking forward to pictures and reviews! Quote
Louis Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 ^hmmm...I don't know whether they would do that or not. It would be a nice addition, but I don't think the ground is something they would really need to worry about. I'd rather see them put all the effort into the actual buildings etc, before they start adding bits like that. Quote
Matthew Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Having an 'average joe' voice over for serious announcements may still be a bit lame - but could it not possibly be similar to the voice from Nemesis' break-downs? Even if it is a "normal" voice, a bit of character wouldn't go a miss. I can't wait 'till opening now! It's come round so quickly , Quote
alexandercameron Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Interesting... the name '(A/I) BSwrks' is being created on the side of the station building beside the boiler... Quote
Freddy Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Saturday 7th March 2009 – The site was very busy all day with worker and ride testing and polishing, getting ready for next week. More painting and signs around the place and extra themeing going on. The police car will hopefully be staying because of the siren sounds and flashing lights going on. The Colossus and Samurai queue lines have been extended. New paving is being laid from Samurai to SAW. (Spoiler) lots of sounds being played around the area such as the loud clangs, dog barking, police sirens, and “Billy” the evil puppet laughing just before you go up the lift. And much more sound you can just about hear on my videos.See Pictures or .thorpepark09.blogspot.com! Quote
Louis Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Great pictures! I can't believe it's come around so quickly. I really really cant wait for Thursday now! Quote
Will Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Does anyone have a picture of SAW coming out of the Zero-G part/section/hole-in-the-wall? Quote
Sidders Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 No-one can get a picture of the Zero-G Roll/Station Exit yet because that particular part of Canda Creek/Lost City is still currently closed off.But looky:http://s655.photobucket.com/albums/uu279/S...=SANY0013-1.jpgWhat be that strange looking wooden thingy? A torture device? Quote
Louis Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 ^Could well be. I love the look of the barbed wire. It adds so much to the atmosphere. Quote
TimR Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 Does anyone know whats going to go between the Main Entrance sign and the Fastrack sign? Quote
StevenVig Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 It's most probably something for the actors. Quote
Sidders Posted March 7, 2009 Report Posted March 7, 2009 The gap between the queuelines is the entrance to the workshop. Quote
