Luke_A
Double post eek, but with worthy reason... It's brilliant that GCI keep posting these pictures of the new woodie right to Facebook. AstroDan and Liam T

Mark9
Looks gorgeous. Will they be closing Blue Fire and Atlantica to complete it?
AdamY
Wonderful. Going up bloody quick too! That entrance feature is absolutely exquisite.
AstroDan
Looks gorgeous. Will they be closing Blue Fire and Atlantica to complete it?Not a chance they would do that in season. I reckon they will get all the footers in that aren't in or around Atlantica and Blue Fire, plus as much structure as possible up - so that once the main season ends on November 6th, they can then set to work. I would imagine that all the track work will be complete by the New Year. Atlantica and Blue Fire are both closed during the parks Winter season anyway (26th November - 8th January) but Iceland and Portugal will still be open during that time (there's a giant Big Wheel opens in Portugal and Snow Tubing in Iceland, for example). AstroDan
Construction just keeps motoring on this!Lots of juicy pics on this thread on the EP-Board forum:http://www.ep-board.de/die-neuheiten-2011-2012-f42/2012-holzachterbahn-in-island-t5342-s1180.html:D
Luke_A
Only 2 more bents until they reach end of the lift! Not sure if they will carry on going backwards or if they will build the lift up to the top of the Barrel Structure. Anyway; the first drop is looking beautiful even without the metal track on it yet. Literally cannot wait to see this thing finished&to maybe ride it next year. pluk
So different they're hardly comparable, but deep down I'd rather Thorpe were building this instead of The Swarm. Still, there's one island left. Fingers crossed.

Mark 64
I must admit I've never thought of wooden rollercoasters as being easy on the eye, they normally just look too 'messy' for me (my pseudo-OCDness coming out here). But I take it all back after having seen this drop. Wow. That looks insane. Germany is a very lucky girl.

TraX
It just baffles me! I've never followed a wooden coaster's construction before. I'm all over this next season, it's incredible!
Graeme
The pictures don't do it justice. I saw it in person last week and the view as you come towards the park from Colleseo is amazing. It really dominates the Atlantica area and the footprint is huge!

Mark9
I've never realised just how large this project is. It seems to absolutely dominate that side of the park (at least that seems to be the impression from the pictures). it does look stunning. AstroDan
Europa-Park's 2013 Dark Ride project was today approved by Rust Municipal Council. It will be a family experience linked to Luc Besson's "Arthur and the Invisibles" IP. It will be built in conjunction with a carousel and mini freefall tower ride and complete the Enchanted Forest area of the theme park.It is rumoured to be a dark ride with coaster sections, from Mack Rides. Potentially a suspended powered coaster. It is part 2 of the parks €50million/£43million investment over the 2012 and 2013 seasons in the theme park. Mark9
Thanks for that Dan. God, Europa really is the park that doesn't stop. What a park.
Benin
Whilst a shame that Europa and it's general history of dark rides is using an IP, be interesting to see how they do it.I.e. They'll actually do it justice and THEN some.

AstroDan
The pacing on that No Limits is amazing. If the ride actually holds up that sort of speed, we will be in for a treat.
