Being stuck at the top of Stealth would be better though. Evan though I do know a few people who would get paranoid at the top of Detty

Marc
been stuck on samurai when a ride host I no decided to pause it at the top in an awkward position for 10 mins only me and my mate were on it at this pointErm Samurai needs at least 15 people to run, under no circumstances would the ride be sent with less than this unless it was engineers ect. Martin
well that was wierd because I'm not lying it was about a hour after closing time
Dave d
When did this happen then? Because the ride is strictly not allowed to run with guests on unless there are 15 guests or more. You can bail out now and admit you were lying...
Martin
I'm not lying! it was one of the last days of the season cant remember when now but it was after closing time and a guy called gary was operating along with a guy called david. It was Gary's last day and david's second to last. Gary has gone and david not works on photos
Dan9
How on earth can you know about that!?! You can NOT operate samurai when the there are 15 or less people on it.
James
Their not allowed to.. doesn't mean they didn't do it anyway. They aren't allowed to run X with the lights on but if you ask they will still do it sometimes.
Marc
Running X with lights is totally different to runing samurai with less than 15 people as its for H&S, if theres a power failure there stuck at the top.
James
If its a H&S thing then surely every Top Scan would be like this, now I can't say I've ever seen one of the other 3 TS's in a video with more than 5 people at a time! Marc
It is. If theres a power failure the counter weight weighs more than the pods and needs 15 people to weigh more. If no power people are stuck 60 ft.
Martin
so then why when samurai is closed do they test it with no people. doesnt this mean thatif it does get stuck then they will close it for longer. I have never seen samurai with dummies in it either which relates to the first sentence of this post
Marc
It would be inpratical to test it each time with dummy's in, if there's a power failure while its empty, it will be stuck and will be stuck until the problem is sorted.
Mark9
When its testing it doesn't matter as if it gets stuck no one will be on it to complain, tell the media, get into distress etc.. its obvious.
themeparklover91
I have been on a Stealth rollback -- very funny :huh:Colossus I was stuck when the ride wouldn't leave the station took 20 minutesSlammer, I wasn't stuck on the ride but I was queueing when it had a problem Samurai, again a 20 minute wait because it wouldn't lower and then the restraints wouldn't go upAfter all of that, it still hasn't put me off going on those rides because they are still brilliant, just I went on them at the wrong timelike some people say, wrong place, wrong time

themeparklover91
I agree, some of the guests think the rides won't be bad but with the dummies it will make them see what happens

MikeC
Do you not understand. SAMURAI AT THORPE PARK DOES NOT OPERATE WITH LESS THAN 15 PEOPLE IN ONE RIDE CYCLE!

Martin
Do you not understand. SAMURAI AT THORPE PARK DOES NOT OPERATE WITH LESS THAN 15 PEOPLE IN ONE RIDE CYCLE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok stop getting stressy! well I'm not lying so I think they did it because it was their last days and they know me
MikeC
Wow, you really don't get it. Are you sure it was Samurai? Not Detonator or Vortex? Because it certainly wasn't Samurai.
Sheepie
Does it really matter that much though?Let me think of another ride I've been stuck on... I don't think I've ever been stuck on a ride at Thorpe, apart from the once on Tidal Wave. What does happen to me alot though, is going into queues, and the ride breaking down then.I remember one day, when literally, 6 rides broke down in a row. It was soo frustrating.
