January 28, 201114 yr comment_107725 Every once in a while, somebody creates something that is unlike anything else that has come before it. Otherwise the industry would never develop or move on.I just want to throw my penny's worth about that Gary guy- I thought he was hilarious and the entertainment value of his posts fair outweighed any trollage. :PHex though, I would absolutely love for there to be a Live version at Scarefest that is actually an advertised attraction for the entire duration and not just the last two days, by rides staff. I would love to go through it.

Oh absolutely, he was very funny. And just like Fawlty Towers it was best the Admin team killed the humour while it was good, instead of descending into 'My family' levels of boredom and tediousness. Garry Williams will remain a legend for the rest of time.As for Hex, I'm going to stand by my guns here... I think it truely was the best ride Tussauds ever added to any of its parks. Even now, and even knowing that the ride itself isn't in the towers, I can never tell when you leave the towers and enter a metal box. The transitioin is seemless and the attraction itself is fantastic. It's only negative is in the batching area where the speech starts, there's no warning so people either talk through it or ignore it.

Have some rep...That negative however also leads to the other two pre-shows unfortunately... So many inconsiderate people in the cinema...
January 28, 201114 yr comment_107732 By far the best time I've visited was when the host got everyone to pay attention, by pretending he's a tour guide.. and said to pay attention blah, then started it. Worked brilliantly!
July 25, 201114 yr comment_120058 ^Typical Manager, not knowing what the buttons do ;)Good video though, wish that Thirteen weekend had happened last year which involved backstage tour of Hex... BLERGH...
July 25, 201114 yr comment_120059 Could anyone who has ridden Hex recently comment on the ride's upkeep this season in terms of effects? The last time I rode it, a few of the Octagon effects weren't working and the speakers in the vault were very quiet. This was not during the time when the ride had major effects issues last year either.

July 28, 201114 yr comment_120268 If you were scared of Saw interior, then mate, you'll easily release your bowels on Hex. Very eerie, very creepy genuine atmosphere.

July 28, 201114 yr comment_120274 Click me for some Hex based pics! And Sheepie's right... The atmosphere is so different and more 'real' than Saw's... Eerie and creepy and you will poop bricks if you found Saw scary...I really hope that it's supposed to be funny rather than scary...At Drayton... You can never tell how serious they're trying to be... That gives them some 'charm'

July 28, 201114 yr comment_120296 Taking pictures of the attraction with a camera flash shows NOTHING of the actual experience... It NEEDS to be ridden to be understood why it's the best dark ride in the country by far...
July 28, 201114 yr comment_120305 The Earl impatiently demanded why the carriage had stopped..."WHY HAVE WE STOPPED?!"
July 29, 201114 yr comment_120343 "£6 for parking?! For every branch of the old oak tree which falls, a member of your family shall die for this!"
July 29, 201114 yr comment_120421 I think you should ride the ride? Maybe just maybe you will then understand...
August 12, 201114 yr comment_121275 Was on Hex yesterday and the automated sequence was running so badly out of time the doors opened and closed in the middle of the film and we were plunged into darkness in the octagon room until a staff member moved the curtain to let us through!
