  • (Source:  TPR)   The Flying Aces entrance looks surprisingly good!

  • That's not an interpretation... A cobra roll is only called as such because of the way the element looks. If you wanted to break it down you could choose to see it as an Immelmann loop into a dive loo

As I said it depends on your interpretation of what an inversion is.

For example the Cobra roll on Colossus is counted as two inversions (according to wiki), yet the corkscrews on the last section are all counted individually.

It's certainly unique though.

you go upside down twice on a cobra roll, hence why it counts as 2, and each of the corkscrews are counted because each of them go upside down.. :P

Update on the 2 other coasters (images from VHCoasters' Facebook):

Some of the track for the SFX coaster has gone up, showing one of the inversions.

Here's another photo, from earlier on in construction.  I think it really shows the scale of the track:

And a photo of the Intamin shuttle coaster.  Apparently, it's meant to go through the glass and the track is meant to spike vertically upwards..

So whilst Flying Aces currently has the tallest loop in the world (at about 171ft), it won't for much long.  This Intamin shuttle coaster at Wanda City Hefei, in China, will have a 187ft tall non-inverting loop, which is currently being constructed...

On a side note, this Wanda park is also rumoured to be getting duelling tilt coasters too, which is nice.
