Oh trust me, I rate Paultons much higher than LEGO, and honestly the only thing that swings it in Chessie's direction is Dragon's Fury (), the fact Chessie is closer, and the theming (may not be well kept, and LK is the best in the UK, Peppa and Creek are good but the rest of Paultons is pretty bare in the way of theming imo, the shrubbery is great but I prefer Chessie's pre Merlin stuff). I prefer Flight to Vampire aswell. (Believe it or not)

But put it in the UK 20-30 years ago and it would be laughed at. How far everything has fallen in the big scheme of things
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243914 Apparently Merlin have signed a deal with Costa Coffee, which is great for my mum because Costa is her favourite , they also do glorious hot chocolate.
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243915 Much like Costa's drinks, the above post needs more sauce... Presumably this is more about promotional offers and stuff, as opposed to Merlin bringing Costa places into their parks.

Just seen something about Starbucks and the Merlin coffee brand "out, Costa in"
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243921 We don't seem to have any sauce here, which is a shame as I love Ketchup. Good news if true though.
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243923 Eww Costa. I loved it when it was Caffe Nero. Those were the days.
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243925 Costa - generic branded global rip off for middle classes careless with money that don't know any different, suits Merlin perfectly
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243927 During the summer whilst waiting for DBGT, a staff member doing a survey on coffee brands actually asked me which brand I would like to see at the park. I chose Costa, purely because I go to Costas more than any over brand (I've been to Starbucks probably about once in the last two years) and I love their hot chocolates. So an unpopular opinion... I'm actually delighted to hear that Costa Coffee could possibly be coming to Thorpe Park.
November 4, 20168 yr comment_243928 This topic shows why Merlin will always be second to Disney; not enough OUTRAGE on the addition of a coffee chain in the parks from the goons... Put more effort in guys...

It has a few bits of Starbucks branding on the inside but aside from a stand-up sign none on the outside. It also serves non Starbucks food and Merlin coffee I'm pretty sure.
November 8, 20168 yr comment_244227 In two minds about renewal of my Merlin pass, it expired back in October and I've been trying to decide whether to renew... but I don't know!

Yeah do it. Your Merlin rants have been entertaining over the last few years and provoke debate and strong feelings. We need you.
November 9, 20168 yr comment_244262 I'm sure the outcome of this is certain. Just going to eat some chicken nuggets and then ride Saw whilst I think about what 2016 is.
December 23, 20168 yr comment_246198 Though no great surprise, got an email today saying that the traditional MAP sale will be starting on January 1st. No word yet of how good a deal they're doing yet however...
January 1, 20178 yr comment_246315 The MAP sale is now on, must admit it's not the greatest of deals, but it's still good value for money IMO. http://www.merlinannualpass.co.uk/
January 1, 20178 yr comment_246316 Looks to be a £10 increase from last year across the board. Agree with Ryan that it still represents good value for money, especially if you're planning 4+ trips a year.
