Martin Doyle
RIP to that absolutely incredible launch!! Even though Red Forces launch couldnt knock the skin off a rice pudding (meaning weak), I would personally still rather see that launch implemented to Dragster as opposed to ripping out a coaster that is visually iconic not only for Cedar Point but the coaster community as a whole. This could also be good for the rides reliability as its a monsterous understatement to say Dragsters hydraulic launch is far from reliable. Mark9
So far nearly all of the launch track, the station and offload and half of the break run have been removed. Rumours abound that the track is being converted to take LSM which seems pretty obvious to me. Still weird to see such an iconic and important coaster in bits. Stuntman707
Cedar Point have officially confirmed the strata coaster TTD will return in 2024 hinting at a “new formula for thrills”. Is this just the changes being made to the launch or also a possible sponsorship with F1? https://fb.watch/hY1UA7dV3d/
Mattgwise
Will be interesting to see this progress. Many are pointing at Zamperla being the ones looking after this project. Not sure they have the experience with fast launches let alone one of the fastest!
Mark9
Current Dragster update The rumours are for a swing launch with a giant spike. I'd be surprised if Iron Dragon is open for much of this season
Project LC
Rumours are confirmed to be a LSM launch with a 420ft spike being added. The ride will launch forward, roll back and launched up the spike before being launched forward again up and over the top hat. The ride will have new trains, worryingly only 3 trains of 20 riders. I sure hope the trains aren't like icebreakers at SeaWorld as they were some of the most uncomfortable trains ive ever been on.
Benin
Worse, they'll be Zamperla trains....... A swing launch to that height will be insane. Although I'll always regret never doing front row on the original.
Charlesberg
The park have finally announced Top Thrill 2 themselves! I think many of us can agree it’s a crap name, but moving on from that, it looks pretty exciting! Just relieved to see the coaster that has been shut for the last 2 years coming back strong! Hopefully the spike makes up for (or acts as a good compromise for) the reduced launch power? https://youtu.be/4XsAATlMGlM
Matt 236
The name is one launch forwards, two launches back. Things aside, I’m looking forward to what they do to this reimagined ride.

Project LC
Its looking like Cedar Point may have 2 new rides opening in 2025 with top thrill 2 and another new coaster, as they have just announced Sirens curse which is a Vekoma Tilt track. Have to say I wasn't expecting a vekoma tilt track to be on the cards. Cal and Inferno
Benin
You're assuming that TT2 will re-open. Not a good year for coasters weirdly.
Project LC
I did caveat that with "may". I'm pretty sure this ride has been rushed in to distract from TT2 and if anything I think it indicates even 2025 may be missed. Siren was originally meant to be coming to six flags Mexico, which itself was originally meant to open as cliffhanger in energylandia. Seems to be a common misconception going round that Siren's Curse is the SF Mexico / Energylandia coaster. It's not, but it is the same stock layout (the Cliffhanger model). Vekoma have a near 2 year manufacturer time, so it's not a quick decision made as a TT2 distraction. The decision would have been made prior the the issues. Mark9
I'm surprised that Vekoma don't want to work with Cedar Fair after 2025 to be honest, you'd think their wanted growth in America would stop them building a ride at Cedar Point. Bit of an odd choice considering Valravn is right there (even if that ride is pretty bland) an is a real crowd pleaser.

Mark9
Nothing official, just lots of rumours to do with the wheels not being able to take the strain of the speed and launches. Lots of conversations around hairline fractures in the wheel assemblies. ThunderVolt (which is the other Intamin to Zamperla conversion) is open and running with none of TT2's issues. Sirens Curse feels like a knee jerk reaction to something more than a required investment. Cedar Point isn't lacking in the beyond vertical drop department or the thrill rollercoaster department. Beyond the hype of another tilt coaster being added, this is a pretty odd investment which I don't really get. But its there park, they can do what they want with it. Matt 236
A very random and interesting investment, if I ever did see one. Was under the guise the park’s investment would be on the stagnant side for the coming years. Given TT2’s problems, but couldn’t be more worse there. TT2 still isn’t out the woodwork to be fair.
