Quick Questions

Got a quick question you need answering? Post it here and somebody is bound to give you an answer!

  1. Pretty simple one I'm just wondering, I've noticed the nearer the date you book the cheaper the rates are (booking for 2) Example: 3/4 may hotel + 2 day ticket is £111, where as the same thing two weeks later when we want to go is £160. Whats the best way to go about this? I know booking late there is more risk but that's a hefty amount cheaper. Thanks very much for your help in advance!

sorry if there is already a topic on this, but tried searching and couldn't find anything... does anybody know if there's any discount for MAP holders at the Thorpe Shark hotel, and how do you book the hotel just room only (well with breakfast), no tickets. cheers.

  3. Hi, I've booked a 4 day stay at the Shark Hotel (Wednesday to Saturday). We don't plan on using the theme park on the Wednesday, but would like to use it Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Our Hotel Stay Package only includes 2 days in the theme park - I've contacted thorpebreaks and Thorpe's Facebook page and asked them if we have to purchase additional days separately and they both advised that we do, either online or when we arrive at the park. From memory, last time we were there the entrance to the hotel is inside the park, so how do they know which days we want to use the theme park - or has this changed this year and there's now ticket barriers betw…

Just wondering if the ticket kiosks at the park are still operating normally, as I saw a post a few weeks back which said something about the security checks taking up the kiosks and that tickets were being sold elsewhere. Also, to get the discounted tickets with a regular Thorpe Annual Pass, they are purchased as if buying normal tickets, correct? Thanks

Does anyone know what exactly happens at Thorpe when there is a thunder and lightning storm with operations and which rides may stay open and if it is scheduled for near enough the whole day will the park open?

Hi again all! Just wondering what time the on-site ticket centre opens to exchange Island Return Guarantee tickets into entry tickets; I've heard it's somewhere around the 9 o'clock mark but just asking to make sure Cheers everyone!

I bought 2 tickets yesterday via phone using corporate discount, but have to pick up the tickets from the Advanced Ticket booths. Does anyone know if these booths open before the gates open, as I want to be one of the first on the park and not be queuing for tickets!

Hi, I'm going this Saturday and need to pick up annual pass tickets and fastpasses from the annual pass place and the advanced sales building. What time do these ticket offices open (already got a MAP) and will the park open before 10? Thanks in advance!

So I have a merlin Annual pass and there's the family and friends deal on it. Thorpe insists that the cheapest tickets are always online if you book in advance. Which one is cheaper, and does anyone know the prices for this season?

Hi, I am going Thorpe Park this coming Friday, and have purchased myself a student ticket for £20 off student beans. However, I am also buying my sister a ticket as well, off thorpe park's website. Who's details do I put in the purchase info I.e. name/address/phone/email etc? Mine or hers? I ask because I am paying with my card. Thanks, tarantula_123

Hi all, I was wondering what your top ten rides at thorpe park were, this is including rollercoasters, flat rides and water rides. I thought it would be fun to compare! Anyway here's mine: 1. Slammer- I love this ride especially on the right hand side, the ride is amazing and will hate to see it go. Love the feeling of free falling. 2. The Swarm- The ride has got so much more intense and forceful over the past couple of years and I really enjoy it much more than I used to. 3. Saw: The ride- I love this ride, it always feels like it has a long ridetime and I love both the indoor and outdoor sections. The elements are really fun and enjoyable and I never find it too rou…

on my recent visits to thorpe park,I noticed some steel rails set into the tarmac to the left of tidal wave. these extend out to the waters edge of tidal wave and look as if they have been broken off,as part of tidal waves theming. the other end of the rails leads to what looks like a turntable, also set into the tarmac, outside what was the wicked witches haunt.they are all visable on google earth.does anyone know what these were for, whether they are just part of the theming of the area or the remains of a defunct ride?cheers

There are four of us, how much for each journey (there and back) for each single person?2) I'm going Friday, July 1st. Will it be busy??? It's an inset day off school for me, but I don't know!!!3) I'm taking a South Western Train from London Waterloo to Staines. Hi guys - how easy is it to travel to and from Thorpe from London in terms of public transport? I'm heading to London to do all the touristy stuff later this year and would love to throw a nice trip in. Would any of you have any advice how to get from London to Staines, then to thorpe? Also in terms of accommodation - if we wanted to stay 2 days at Thorpe would you recommend we stay in london and travel each day or stay within Staines itself. The new thorpe hotel box things are a option as well - but fairly expensive! Thanks for your help!

  24. Started by LeeP,

So I went to Thorpe yesterday and found the queue times to be massively unreliable - some queue times showed 30 minutes but we queued for 10 minutes and some rides said 30 minutes and we queued for over an hour, I don't think there was a single ride with accurate an accurate queue time which made it really difficult to plan our day. Is this a normal occurrence or was I just unlucky on that particular day?
