    Cedar Point

So now I have had several rides on Steel Vengeance including rides in front, middle and back rows aswell as a night ride (complete with bugs) on it. This roller coasters hype is real!! There is not a single roller coaster in the world that tops this and I do mean not one. Airtime is relentless, first drop is sensational, it’s long, it’s inversions are amazing and the whole ride as a whole is outstanding from start to finish. Forget Taron, forget Shambhala, forget Helix and forget Walking dead the ride. This coaster is the absolute best in existence!!

  2. Do any of you guys have ANYTHING positive to say about fright nights this year? The park haven’t even announced anything for fright nights other than the walking dead will be involved in it. Let’s wait til they announce stuff, then we can start loving or hating them for it. For now though, go read or book, or go cycling, or skydive!

  3. Says a lot that all the replies to the tweets are talking about potential IPs for a new attraction (none of them Blair Witch). Thorpe have conditioned their audience to expect IPs now, completely killing any potential scope for creativity beyond an IP now.

  5. Nah, I'm not paying for Fright Nights if it's not any better. We have early bird tickets for Tulley's.

  6. Fright Nights is dead... Tulleys is the place to be, all original themed mazes and done to a much better standard. Bring back pre-2013 Fright Nights ?

    Top 10's

It has been a long one coming, but after a park like no other it is finally time to update some top 10’s. Roller Coasters: 1/ Steel Vengeance 2/ Helix 3/ Maverick 4/ Taron 5/ Millennium Force 6/ Shambhala 7/ Wodan 8/ Nemesis 9/ Raptor 10/ Icon Parks visited: 1/ Europa Park 2/ Cedar Point 3/ Efteling 4/ Phantasialand 5/ Disneyland Paris 6/ Liseberg 7/ Port Aventura 8/ Blackpool Pleasure Beach 9/ Alton Towers 10/ Thorpe Park Some of you may be shocked and surprised by my choices here, but I can reassure you there is methods In these conclusions. Everything in a park from location, styling, selection and character is analysed amongst what kind of park it may be. Not every park needs tonnes of thrilling rides or magical theming and details everywhere, they are all different and would be a dull world if they weren’t. The differences between my top two perhaps elaborate this. And finally, Cedar Point Coasters ranked from top to bottom (most were ridden at least twice): 1/ Steel Vengeance 2/ Maverick 3/ Millennium Force 4/ Raptor 5/ Rougarou 6/ Top Thrill Dragster 7/ Gate Keeper 8/ Valravn 9/ Magnum XL 10/ Gemini 11/ Wicked Twister 12/ Blue Streak 13/ Corkscrew 14/ Iron Dragon 15/ Cedar Creek Mine (the irony), Wilderrness Run and Woodstock Express were not ridden.

    Education (Exam Results)

Sometimes people don’t do as well as they hoped, but good results anyway! GCSEs mean nothing in the long run! No point getting down about it!

  13. Well I ended up riding this last night and it actually made me feel sad, why you may wonder would a grown man who’s 44 feel so sad to experience this ride?? Well I’m a father of two who are now 6yr and 9yr olds so as you can guess this ( when it was X) was the main draw for my boys due to there height and walking down that corridor again just reminded me of my excited boys getting to ride there favourite coaster , they loved it so much that on some mornings we rode it as much as 10 times in a row , such a shame they made this a 13 yr plus and 1.4 ride and most of all a ‘scare’ ride, we as a family have only visited once this year compared to around 4-5 visits by this time of year in the last few years. Speaking to staff yesterday they where saying numbers are down this year and I’m not surprised we might visit once more over summer rather than every other week , I know it sounds stupid but the loss of this family attraction is the main reason. As for the ride in its new state I thought it was pants more like a ride through a department store dumping ground at night where they’d thrown out all the old shop window mannequins.
