  1. You have just described a scare zone. They weren’t expecting to have one untill pass holders pointed out they actually listed a date back in March for a preview. So had no choice 1. Why not? 2. Don’t be blunt with those who don’t have access to hear or know what the tracks are being created before they are actually played in the park. It was a preview, surely all the tracks should have been “installed” or rather changed over (it’s pretty easy) for this event. No ifs no buts. All that was open should have had completed audio playing.

  2. I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of attractions tonight. And today was just a preview; there is so much potential this year! Mini reviews from my runs tonight are as follows: Platform 15 - Best maze tonight for me. The amount of actors in the village, especially at the end of the night, was crazy! Had a good few actors in the tunnel as well which really caught me off guard. The finale.. I did prefer last year’s in all honesty. Better at night than day but that’s no surprise. Blair Witch - Huge improvement on previous incarnations of the maze! A lot of actors throughout and they did not hold back on intensity. It is a little short however. It’s definitely better at night as well. Definitely has potential to be better, but still great. Dead Creek - Surprisingly scary! The chainsaw in the middle was actually horrifying. Again definitely has more potential and is better at night. Saw Alive - Identical as expected. Not the best run I’ve had but pretty good none the less. Living Nightmare - Not a fan of this tonight. Lacking in actors and sadly didn’t get too many scares (the ones that were there were great however!). I’ve seen how good this maze can be so hopefully it improves as the event goes on. The Big Top roaming team were great and were around the park for nearly all of the night; we saw them multiple times all around the park! All in all, it’s looking positive! And seeing as tonight was a preview, we could very easily be seeing these mazes increase in quality by next week. I’m looking forward to heading back soon to do the other attractions and head back in the ones that were open tonight.

  3. I have just come back from thorpe park once again and... Wow, just wow... I know how much I rambled about my disappointing experience the last time I rode Derren Browns Ghost Train... HOWEVER, This time was even worse than the last: 1) Both headsets were faulty for me during this ride. The first VR scene kept freezing and resetting During the frequent resets then a weird grid would appear and was quite disorienting and breaks the illusion of the section. The second sequence was a bit better but it still had a weird audio buzz and a high pitch tone in the background. The VR scene also froze a bit but not has bad as the first. 2) The midsection live-action scene somehow managed to be much worse and insulting compared to my last visit due to the fact that there was not any audio at all and the worst part is that they tried to pull the same number combination skit the last time I went: However, this was further ruined by the fact that when she opened the doors then the train wasn't even ready for us... or that is what she claimed. 3) The last gripe that I have is: I didn't have to wait in the queue so long this trip (I queued for over an hour and a half the last time) but I still had to wait 30 minutes for an even worse experience... I will not be riding again until they sort this out!

    2018 General Discussion

It seems that the old town family flat rides (rocky express, timber tug boat and lumber jump) will only be open from 10am-2pm

  5. Il be heading down in a couple hours when the mazes open. Not expecting them to be running smoothly as it’s the first time the mazes will be open. Il be heading down to the press event though and il post my review of the event on here as well!

  6. I get the feeling the park didn’t actually want to do a passholder preview event this year

  7. So the latest post on social media regarding the "annual pass preview" has caused a few issues with this offer of inviting friends along for £15 and them pointing out they may be able to use the mazes. Pretty much makes it no longer an annual pass holders preview for mazes. ?? ☠️?ANNUAL PASSHOLDERS?☠️ Reminder – this Saturday (29/09) is your FRIGHT NIGHTS preview event where you'll be the first to scream your way through a selection of our mazes from 3-8PM. PLUS - bring a mate along for 10 hours of adrenaline fuelled coaster action 'til 8PM FOR JUST £15! And who knows, there might even be a chance for them to join you as you take on our terrifying new FRIGHT NIGHTS mazes... Keep your eyes peeled on the day for the chance to treat your mate to this exclusive sneak peek! Book online now: http://thorpe.fun/W6xgp

  8. Blair Witch was testing as I came off Inferno earlier, heard some audio and acting and the lights were on. All the entrances and queues are up, aside from Do or Die, which was still being put together as we were there, and Amity High, which there is no sign of at the moment although there was one temporary fence up in the entrance to what I think is the Sunken Gardens behind Stealth. Not sure how long ago they were put up (or how many of you would've seen them) but I have pictures if you'd like?

  9. Just come off walking dead the ride and wow! I think I counted 8 actors just in the exit corridor. It must be in prep for FN as both the pre show and corridor leading up to the station were different too, but I won’t ruin it for y’all.
