I'm heading back to Thorpe for MOS Meet on 23rd July - and to think that my source joked that I should be alright to ride DBGT by then when I chatted to him at the end of April regarding my visit mid-May and the chance of me riding DBGT for mid-May being zero! At this rate, it could've only been open a couple of weeks
-
I guess if you are staying in the shipping container hotel then TP will have your details... so it wouldn't be too difficult to work out/find whoever leaked something.
-
I'm pleasantly surprised/infuriated (delete as appropriate) that none of the hotel guests who have ridden it have leaked anything to social media about it - I know that NDA's are about but I'm sure the Staines massive don't care about those
-
Some sort of explosion/gas leak in the first room I assume.

Press release on social media will go something like: "We are excited as you are to finally ride the new Derren Brown's Ghost Train at THORPE PARK RESORT. However, we anticipate the experience being extremely popular, and because of this we will be introducing a pre-booked timed ticket system to minimise queues and ensure everyone has a fair chance of boarding during their visit to THORPE PARK. Only those with a prebooked ticket will be able to board DERREN BROWN'S GHOST TRAIN until further notice."
-
Timed tickets to me would imply they are concerned about throughput which can only mean that not all of the vehicles are ready... Bit of a double edged sword if it does open with timed tickets - people are happy because they get to get on if they bag a slot, but then, those who don't know about the system will be narked, complain to customer services and be given Fastrack for something.
-
It's no DBGT entrance though is it, tbh Looks bloody awesome!
-
They won't just open it unannounced, there'll be 10-14 days notice so everyone can get on board the #hypetrain.

Like this, evidently. "Alton Towers 'Secret Weapon 8': Plans emerge for new rollercoaster on anniversary of Smiler ride crash" http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/alton-towers-secret-weapon-8-8110784

I feed you the set-ups and you deliver the punchlines, Joshua, good work

Derren Brown's Ministry of Sound Meet 23rd July 2016

So it is! I'm going to book a £15 ticket now A website glitch in our favour for a change... All booked, no going back, bring on the overpriced commercial drinks... -
TPM Happy 10th Anniversary Stealth Meet 25th September 2016!
MattyMoo replied to Celia Mae's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
I'm definitely interested because Stealth is bae as the kidz say. The idea of ERT and BTS on Stealth fills my bag holding heart with glee. The Stealth Photoshoot meet is still one my fave things ever <3- 114 replies

That mock up makes SW8 look like a rather nice garden centre

Derren Brown's Ministry of Sound Meet 23rd July 2016
MattyMoo replied to AJ 's topic in TPM 2016 Meets
The question is, to book the early bird for £15 or ride it out and hope for even cheaper tickets... -
My question is - how are the press going to tediously link SW8 construction to the Smiler accident?
-
I predict that "SUSPENDED" on the queue time sign will now be in lower case, that will really get the forums buzzing.
-
Or suspended like the big massive carriage in the middle of that warehouse?
-
Stealth is closed today. (A long with X, obviously...). Stealth seemed to shut on Tuesday and has been shut since. Bit of a cheek TP posting it's picture saying "Happy Hump Day" yesterday, in retrospect
-
Some of the eyewitness accounts are particularly harrowing... One witness said teenage boys at the front of the cart were saying they "wanted to get down".

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/7176586/BREAKING-Passengers-stuck-on-new-9million-rollercoaster-after-it-broke-down-45ft-in-the-air.html?CMP=spklr-_-Editorial-_-FBPAGE-_-TheSun-thesun-_-20160526-_-News-_-477415847-_-Imageandlink Non story alert, but I share because it just goes to show how shocking the "journalists" are - article says the new area cost £9m, the title says the ride cost £9m. Idiots.
-
Will be interesting to see how Alton & Thorpe recover this year versus 2015. A delayed new ride is probably the last thing they want at Thorpe after attendance figures like last year... Would never have thought Legoland was the most visited UK park, wow.

It seems complete from the outside anyway

I quickly made up my own start to a Daily Fail article for opening day, it made me laugh and that's all that matters (Only joking guys, don't h8 me m8)

"Archive" knows his/her stuff

They would've been better off just having "Coming soon" on the advert if you ask me.
