It varies really, sometimes they might give out free tickets (or something along those lines like money off return vouchers and what-not)... They managed to re-open most things(?) though, and extended the opening time, so they did some stuff...

Stuff happens... No point getting worked up about it, even if people will... Not within the park's control... Etc...

Ended up spending this week taking part in the CV Show with my work... It was pretty damn good actually, goony (of course), but actually interesting to go around and see a brand new truck being revealed... Plus the freebies

I went to Chessie last week... Do I win?

Rameses can't help it was built when Chessie were aiming at the whole family (like Towers)... Not that I ride it ever mind... It's a bit crap (as are all old style Top Spins)...

MAP discount hasn't been available since before I started college (5 years ago)... As for the staff at chessie? They're just crap these days it seems... In amongst the stupid safety stuff they have to follow anyway but also just the overall lack of pushing throughputs... And we think they want to have longer queues? Nah, it's just a poor work ethic that's the problem...

One step forwards with the batching, but two massive steps back... I think it's the staff you know, there is a lack of effort and bother... Although seeing empty back rows (and a busy disabled queue) makes EVEN LESS SENSE! Sigh, 4 rechecks before a dispatch when everyone was fine... So frustrating to watch... Batching is ok but not run great... I dunno, the staff just take FOREVER, and then sometimes go AWOL... Then you see a manager be thick regarding people unable to 'leave' cos of the chain still in place in front of him and you realise that these are the people DOING the training... Even KUMALI is run better...

Whilst Falls has reopened the park aren't sure on a date for Runaway, and whether or not they want to fully sort it out (I.e. replace themeing) before it reopens... Waiting game still on-going... In other news, they've RUINED Zafari completely... Ended up having kids meals because they've decided the 2 courses for £10 isn't good enough anymore and will also have more choice for the kids than the adults... Idiots run the place...

It looks DIRE... One hopes it only lasts this season...

It needs more than just new trains... Needs re-routing as it doesn't even go over half the zoo anymore... No I do NOT want to see the tent...

My review: The queue is crap... The pre-show is crap... The seatbelts are crap... The loading/off-loading systems are crap... The cave is crap... The ride itself is decent though, I feel that having a pre-recorded thing fails epically as it forgets the whole mystical evil carvings half way through and you can't listen to it half the time (mainly due to people going "ohhhh" at the animals, which is fair)... The cave is pretty damn anti-climatic... They got everything but the actual point of it right, as the sounds/lights in there are actually decent... Shame... The queue as said is stupid... WHY IS THERE A BOLLOCKY GREEN SCREEN PHOTO 3/4 OF THE WAY THROUGH? Idiotic idea (especially given the state of the photo booth) to have it at all, let alone so far along in the queue you actually ARE queuing for it, rather than the ride... The pre-show is shockingly bad... 2nd best to Disney eh? I bet even Mingoland could get better lip-sync (read: ACTUAL LIP SYNC) than that lemur... Let alone it looked DIABOLICAL... Would've been better either having an extended queue with TVs explaining bits (hence allowing an INTELLIGENT onload/offload system) from Chase rather than a character which doesn't actually appear anymore in the ride (or on park for that matter)... Another thing are the high fences, which mean you see NOTHING... Sorry guys, but that is stupid as well... No build up to the ride in the paths leading up to it OR in the queue... Missed the chances there... You can see they tried... They really did, and I enjoyed the ride itself, but there are so many failings with it as well which cause quite a few issues... Such a shame really... Not the worst thing at Chessie though right now...

Holiday Park's Log Flume reverses, so it's doable on most 'traditional' flumes...

The cable moves only in the horizontal plane, and indeed, the winch either increases the cable length to the station or decreases it... Stealth is in basic terms, pretty damn simple, hence why I could recreate it (scaled of course) in an university environment...

Actors cost at least £2 more an hour than ride staff... Terry only has about, 2/3 actual actors right? Hell the ones who let you off the lifts are probably used in the actual corridor itself, saves money (and lots of people in one area)... I guess Sanctuary might have at least double that, and as mentioned, the other costs such as lighting and other effects will make a difference... But the main cost is definitely the actors... In addition, what with the low attendance so far, one could say it's the extra fat being trimmed off as well to save some money... And as I said, they need to have the Towers opened up as an agreement with the council, hence it was never going to be permanent... I really couldn't care less mind... Never interested me...

I know, as just being sarcastic about the whole thing... Probably not releasing any info on such a record until they feel like they want to push marketing to the next level... Let's be honest there's been bugger all since the ride was initially delayed, so they are blatently waiting till a confirmed date before pushing such stuff...

Considering I just went for £610 (including a deal granted, but that would've taken it to about £800) for the Sequoia for 4 nights and then add on £132 for Eurostar, I cannot see how you spent that much...

The stops were silly when it went backwards...

And the fact that the ruins have to be open for a set amount of days throughout the year might have had something to do with it, as you can't access them at all atm...
