Do they really though? It is just worth noting things like this. On a ride already months behind scheduled opening this one 'little' thing could easily result in further delays depending what fix they use. Walter and Claude wouldn't stand for this!

I think 'support' could be the wrong word!

A woman got wooden breast implants yesterday. It would be funny if this joke had a punch line, wooden tit?

Another static week. Meh, at least I'm not getting fatter. I know where I'm going wrong and being weak, just need to be harder on myself and less easily led into bad stuff. The last thing I need right now is this deliciousness happening. Damn you Maccy D's!

I'm already 30, so before I die I guess! In no particular order, except for the first one. - Have a family. A long and depressing story so far. - Visit Tokyo DisneySea. - Learn to speak French proper like. - Skydive. - Get, and stay, fit. - Produce some house music worthy of release. - Build a rental property portfolio. - Keep some chickens. - Own/timeshare somewhere I can ski from every year. - Do a full on American roadtrip, which may well take in many amusement parks. The older you get the more you realise you have to go out and get these things for yourself, no one is going to make it happen for you! It is just depressing when the thing you want most you can't have and there seems to be nothing you can do about it. Take nothing in life for granted!

All dodgems do have speed control, it's as simple as increasing the power to the overhead mesh. The more juice the more oomph I just thought these were locked off at a very low power (and therefore speed) that couldn't be overridden?

Why not, do you like the more adult mazes at Thorpe and Alton? I've not done the Krypt and probably won't do all the time they stick with the stupidly short Halloween opening hours. Shame.

A couple of weeks back I had two rides on this, the first was its usual slow self all the way through. The second time a bell rang half way through and everything sped up a lot, faster than I've ever been on Chessington dodgems I'm sure. Is it down to the operator how fast it goes, and if so is that based on the youngest rider? Theoretically if it was full of adults can they turn it up to full funfair type speeds? Was so much better.

The areas where you find you can not start a new topic are areas that: 1) Historically people would start threads and threads of nonsense just repeating other threads with slightly different wording. 2) You should have no need to start a thread in as everything is covered. We try to keep things neat here rather than having a sprawling mass of threads so info should be easier to find. That's not to say everything has been covered, if you see something you think is missing let us know and thread can be created.

Clever stuff, love it whoever has done it (pretty sure this is Towers produced). 5:14, thats the 5 marmalisation steps and 14 inversion is it?

Now this is a festival line up I'd bite your hands off to see.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/10024971/Fairground-ride-car-breaks-loose-and-traps-girl-5.html While under maintenance a large bit of fairground ride hits kid. Sadly no hint as to what the actual ride was.

Yes, one kills you, one has no detrimental effect at all. Dry ice and misters are entirely harmless.

Josh, please fix this post if you have the time. I want to see the pics!

Excellent report Spider, really enjoyed (and agreed with) it. Hope you weren't comparing Colossus to the abomination that is Goudurix though! That thing is in a different league of awful. This was said to me by a random ride op I got chatting to "after the first year didn't go so well they asked us all what we thought they could do to improve the ride, every one of us said 'put a ****ing roof on it'!"

The roller disco near me (Southends 'Roller City') shut in about 1993, but I have so many happy memories from that place. Wish it would return. They used to do crazy games where you'd have to lay on the floor and jump over each other and big violent games of roller bulldog, not sure they'd get away with that sort of thing any more! I really like this for Thorpe, think it could work as a nightly thing for crashpadders. Good organised chaos type fun.

The Chessington website used to have a scroller announcing closed rides did it not? Seems to have gone now which is a poor show, especially in a year with so much 'planned' disruption on top of whatever else might go wrong. As far as I know right now it is only Runaway Train which is closed, unless anyone has anything more recent?

Depends very much on the specific player you have, They should all be region specific when sold, but many are 'breakable' with a certain combination of button presses. Best bet is to put your make and model number into google alongside 'region free', or try some of the links here. Good luck!

Hello and welcome Vortex Lover. That all sounds quite odd, not something I've come across myself before. I've deleted the Time Voyagers post, if you have any more problems please let us know.

Wait and see first, theming should be going back up. I've been so tempted this year to rename this threat 'general destruction'

Illusion shattered. At least they've started, going to be quite a big job though.

Come across another batch. Unfortunately some ot these are really small, no idea why I had them printed like that and the negatives aren't in the pack. Another Ramesis in action from what must be about the same time. Just behind it was the excellent and much missed (by me) rodeo. Who can spot a young thin pluk? Then off round the park on the less knackered looking Skyride. Easier to spot me this time, I'm the one obeying the no standing rules like a good boy. No holding on to the crossbars! What's that in the background, climbing its second lift hill? The original and best Vampire, thats what. Mmmm, swingy heavy Vampire train Good ol' days.

I think the exact opposite to this. The batching on Stealth is soooo simple I'd question the staffs ability if they can't manage it. I remember one guy on there would simply ask the normal queue how many people in their party and if it was an odd number get one out of the srq line and tell them they were sitting with them and not to lose them, which seemed to work a lot better than faffing about with row numbers.

Woodland walk for ERT! Used to love that.
