  1. Hard one to call, it being a last minute addition. I'd imagine it will be pretty quiet with the kids back being to school and people not having long to plan it since the announcement. Unless a significant number of schools have a teacher sitting in a pub training day that is, if anyone knows?
  2. http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/surrey-news/man-fined-after-expletive-filled-outburst-8013720 Some people don't take well to being trapped on coasters it seems.
  3. I must confess to not having ever been to one of their Halloween events. Didn't even know they did them to be honest, which might be part of the problem - I only live 20 mins away but I've seen no promotion for it at all. I can understand their apprehension in putting money into going all out for Halloween, because of the sort of park they are they are so massively reliant on the weather, and this late in the year the odds are stacked against them to hit a warm dry spell, that it'd probably make bad business sense to plan and pay for anything too extravagant. But then if they are going to do something they should do those things properly or they give themselves abad name, must be a fine line for them budget wise.
  4. Can I secpnd or third the call for a Ramesis lazer disco party video clip from a helpful visitor please!
  5. RIDES SOME OF THEM MIGHT BE CLOSED
  6. So, the park is at capacity and is turning people away. What kind of hell awaits those inside? How close to capacity were they the last couple of days when the park operations royally fell over? How bad can it get, or will they suddenly find a way to cope?...
  7. A lot of Grottoes were paid for when I was a kid, and that was 30 years ago! With entry only being £10 in the first place that seems fair enough to me. Scrub that, so it's £15/£12 to get in plus £10 for the show thing plus £5 for Santa. Without a single ride being open it seems? Blimey, I don't think so!

    This Or That

    Bonfire Night or Halloween?
  9. Nice. Love a good waterpark, is that indoor flume one of those near vertical loops with the trapdoor release? Is that a UK first if it is one? Those things look great!

  11. This is amazing. Biggest new thing the UK will see next year it seems, I think (and hope) it will do very well for them.
  12. If there is a dark ride, and if it' s for 2016 (both still big if's atm), I do hope they haven't rushed the planning. That seems to have been a common theme in recent years, It's not long ago we were all quite certain a coaster was coming. Surely it takes longer than a few months to plan something on the scale we are hoping for and do it properly?!
  13. Used to have a big sign outside 'Open every day except Christmas Day', but that went quite a few years ago and is now fully seasonal. Shame, but understandable.
  14. Merged new rumours topic with old rumours topic, coz rumours are still rumours. Id be amazed if X got touched as part anything that might be happening as part of this, but if it were to then that is getting tantalizingly close to taking Storm Surge out too. I can hope!
  15. Great idea, no idea what that is though!
  16. lol Personally, not on behalf of of TPM, I don't like the speculation dressed as news style combined with the underlying 'we know something you don't know' tone. Clickbait. Not meant as a 'jibe or attack', just the reason I don't engage with TT any more.
  17. Has been a very naughty boy (according to his mum)
  18. A lot of people 'know' a lot. Until planning is in and published it is speculation, until those plans are approved it's nothing more than a plan. Thorpe themselves don't know what they're doing yet, they don't know what permissions they'll get. They obviously have some plans, they probably have a preferred one, they certainly have some back up ones. That article is just the coming together of a lot of separate things that people 'know' and is very guessable with a decent chance of being correct in at least some respects. Dr Who ride using a taaoSpiderman transit system it is then...
  19. I'd be a bit more than fashionably late, by the time I got there they'd be out of R&R maze tickets! If I still had my map I'd consider it, but I can't justify the cost for just a few hours.
  20. If these numbers are correct they need to pull the plug now and have a serious rethink before they damage their reputation further. People don't forget nights like that in a hurry, and bad word spreads fast.
  21. I don't know that I'd manage to actually enjoy it, but I'd be interested to find out how I'd react to it. Not interested enough to actually try it I think!
  22. Well it has only just occurred to me that although I am technically off tomorrow I am working a night shift tonight so will be asleep for most of the day. You'd think I'd have the hang of shift work after 15 odd years of it, but apparently not! Have a great time all.
  23. I hadn't even noticed that one, it's going to annoy me every time now. DAMN YOU BENIN.
