My second (official ) meet down and I really enjoyed it, it was great to meet some new people and also to see some old faces. The group of us by the end of the day was phenomenal, I always try to at least talk to everyone at some point so hopefully I did - it proved difficult as there was so many of you! You're all a really nice bunch of people and I really enjoyed talking with you all. Last but not least, a massive thank you to Peaj and Marc for sorting the whole thing out and obviously Thorpe Park and all the staff (not only the ride team and those who sorted out the ERT, although we do owe you a few beers...) who made the day amazing and rewarding. I hope you all got home safely and I look forward to seeing all of you in the not-to-far-distant future

WOO HARVESTER! Mer, Ethan, Han, Fish and I are here

I'm with Benin on this one, the transitions look hideous. I'd ride it just once to see if my pain threshold could take it though

Sandra Mccluskey wood be a fantastic addition . A wee bit of branching out with something different. x Like · Reply · 1 · 4 hours ago THORPE PARK Official Should we take a leaf out of their book?

HARVESTER - the salad cart

Wasn't what I was expecting at all from Avicii, really nice.

The ride seems a bit lack lustre, the second half after the backwards launch is very short and underwhelming in my opinion. I like the look of the track though. Also never realised how worn Tatsu looks, because the colours faded the colours don't look nice together imo

Have fun today guys, sorry I couldn't be there Hope it isn't too busy!

Free Parking should be... PAID PARKING or something to do with Premium Pass Holders
-
I think I remember we tried to go up there and they said it was $10 just to go up (not incl. any of the rides). So we didn't bother, wish we kinda did though.

Gutted I can't come now as something has come up which means I won't be able to attend, gutted as it would be good to see everyone plus it would be my first time at Lego, shame. Anyway, hope you all have a great day and see most of you at the Inferno ERT!

Is anyone else going for the whole day as well as the ERT? I know Jack said he was and I was thinking of going the whole day too

Peaj and I adore the music too, particularly the 'HA HA HA, HA HA HA' bits Go to 2mins

Very similar to me as to why the rides so high

Does anyone else play League of Legends? :fool:

I'll post here what I'm going to post in my trip report. THE SMILER, is an amazing attraction and addition to the Alton line up. We got in the queue about half past 5 (close at 6) and they had to have an overflow queue for the over flow queue just outside of X Sector. It was a bit manic because of where it was placed, because when they needed to move people to the first overflow, they had to block off the GP in X Sector so we could travel across. The actual queue is VERY cattle-penny, there are two stops at the shop which holds up the queue a lot which is a tad annoying but because of all thee near misses and how close you are to the track, it makes up for it. The mesh over the queue actually works in conjunction with the ride, because it feels like you're contained, you're the experiment. The theme music is actually very catchy, I often found myself and a lot of the others humming and singing along (and pissing off other people). It's infectious. Peaj and I were both singing the 'HA HA HA' parts on the way home so it certainly had some influence. We also noticed some wear and tear (already) particularly on the first inverted drop. The inside queue is a bit disappointing somewhat, it's another small cattle-pen, the lightings quite cool to look at but the inside queue is very short lived. We did comment on how much we liked that because of the black rubber flaps, it prevented you seeing what was coming which worked rather well. After this cattlepen you hand in your baggage and head up the stairs and you're in the main station. I feel there is definitely something missing which could have been utilised inside, it felt bare. The station is very hospital like (we could even smell the wet paint) and Peaj using his people skills got us front row. One of the members of staff you could tell definitely loved his job as he was all wacky and over the place. The ride itself. The first half is very smooth and the restraints are very comfy, however, if you're tall like Peaj and I, you often find your shoulders digging into the restraints. The inversions keep coming one after the other, and the near misses with the Marmaliser works fantastically. Just when you think it's over, you're at the bottom of the second lift hill. The second half gets very jolty at times but doesn't take away from the experience, most of the effects you will hardly notice with the exception of a few. The cobra roll leading into the corkscrews (if this is wrong please correct me) are probably the most painful bits. The transitions don't seem to flow so fluidly and I found it partly painful, but I expected much worse, considering SAW... After exiting and up the gay pride stairs You go through a series of corridors with optical illusions which really messed with my eyes. It basically confirmed the process was complete and really concluded the ride. The shop as well is brilliantly designed. The glass floor above the heartline roll didn't really work for us as we couldn't see much, but I was reading this is down to the sun shining on it. You could tell the GP were loving it. They were lapping up the ride and the store was very busy considering it was the end of the day, a lot of purchases were being made. I particular like the SMILER eyes camera in the store too. Overall the ride was really intense, one of the most intense rides I've been on, I found my eyes watering, and I'm renown for having a strong stomach but even I find my stomach churning at some points. It's a really great investment but is somewhat lacking indoors. The near misses were incredible, but I think because obviously expectations are always going to be higher, they fell short. But this doesn't take away from how good it really is. I just feel like I need a few more go's on it to make a proper analysis.

2013 EDITION We see Ghostrider pushed out of the top 10, which means at least ONE new entry. What could possibly be at #10? Coming in at #9 is... #8 is in fact... The heat is really building up, could we see a new entry for this next position? Or will another coaster bite the dust and tumble down the ranks? At #7 we have At #6 we have And now for the top 5! Which leaves two more... Could there be a new entry, could the legendary Nemesis be dethroned? Maybe I've remembered a Lost Coaster and just remembered how amazing it was...

I made this park a while ago but never got round to showcasing it. No custom scenery was used, not all of it is original ideas, I was inspired by some RCT3 players from YouTube (like with the bridge), and some of the rides are real-life inspired, I'll let you guess which ones they are Looking like it's going to be a busy day... A bird's eye view of the Ancient Egypt area, featuring Scarab Spinner (Top Scan), Ra (I can't remember what that is) and Sahara's Curse (a launched coaster). There is also a Top Spin if you look closely in the far left about halfway down called Mirage, it's living up to its name. Pirate Cove (I know, so original with my themed area names), here we can see Tsunami (the Shoot-the-Chute ride), a Vekoma Corkscrew Coaster appropriately named, Caribbean Twister, and Canon Blaster (Launched Drop Tower). Straight to the Wild West (I'm not getting anymore original I know), we've got Outlaw (a GCI wooden coaster), Wagon Wheel (Enterprise), and some other rides that you usually see at funfairs Tower Street (don't start) with it's own Junior Coaster, Greenhouse Explorer, which sees riders fly through a non-existent greenhouse with lots of mini-beasts, which are not so mini A nice introduction to our Ancient Greece area with a lovely view of our floorless B&M Poseidon, inspired by a certain coaster. Below it, Thorpe has some competition, as it's now not the only park with a Sky Swat, plus, ours has a match cooler name. 'The Last Battle of Atlantis'. And coming up the rear in it's brilliant yellow, is our B&M flying coaster Pegasus An extension on this area is our featured B&M floorless coaster, Underworld (can you tell what this is inspired by? ) In front of the demon of hell is our double inverter, Hercules, which fights continuously for our enjoyment. Our Africa Area, featuring a wild-TIGER coaster Treacherous Tigers - with a lovely Tiger enclosure next to the ride, I'm sure H&S would have a fit Pterodactyl Peaks. and... for the grand finale, is Monkey Swinger, again with a suitable monkey enclosure, and our B&M Hypercoaster, Mount Kilimanjaro, featuring a rather, unique layout THE END
