Costa Coffee Now Avaliable
Yay for coffee - I'm such a caffeine addict and generally find Thorpes coffees to be nice - only complaint is they need to sell iced coffee - that stuff is the best

TPM Thorpe Park Open Meet
Not sure if you are the only newbie but you won't feel like a newbie for long! I had a 3 year break from meets due to personal reasons and was so nervous about seeing everyone again and meeting new people at last years fright nights meet - it was one of the best things I did and I loved it. There was another member who came along who was new to meets who was very nervous aswell but really enjoyed it and has been to all the following meets. You will be made to feel very welcome and also I love that there is no pressure for people to go on rides they don't want - I always spectate the members on Detonator as that things scares me immensely - heck I use to not be able to go on Mr Monkeys banana ride!

TPM Thorpe Park Open Meet
I was SO nervous when I went to my first meet (actually took anxiety meds) but I really didn't need to - I'm sure you will fit in really well - after all, we all have the same interests - plus queuing is a great time to get to know other members - everyone is really friendly and people understand it can be nerve wracking at first. I've made some fab friends through the meets and had great times

Ah Hex is brilliant and I really missed it last year so glad to hear it's back this season. Although I did feel like a prize plonker when I first went on it - I just assumed it was a nice sit down then I got confused with the bars coming down - then I felt a tad sick - love it though!

Instruments
I would absolutely love to be able to play piano - how people can play really impresses me - I just can't comprehend how you can remember which keys to press and all that jazz - I mean, I can touch type pretty quick but that is slightly different An oboe is an instrument I adore - the sound of it is fantastic - I would love to be able to even play my damn recorder but any instrument that requires focused breathing on I'm pretty much useless at. I really want to get back into playing my electric violin - partly to cheese off my neighbour who enjoys having a damn good argument with himself on a weekly basis and when he isn't slamming ever door not once, but twice . I got my violin just over 10 years ago and would practice every day (it came with "silent strings" which aren't hugely silent!). Problem is that I need a new bow and the whole violin restrung which I can't do myself because I would bodge it up royally and I refuse to go to the shop I bought it from - to say they are posh in there is an understatement and when I broke the G string I went in to get it replaced - at that point I didn't know it was the G and the woman gave me a look of utter disgust when I told her "it's the one on the end". Found a brill shop out of town which are far nicer and much cheaper. My problem is technique - as in, I have none. I used to have violin lessons in middle school but had to give up when I moved to secondary school as it was too expensive. Although lessons never really helped me - I can't and could never read music so any piece I was given to play I would just figure it out and wing it - none of my teachers ever noticed! Also I found it rather off putting that not one but two violin teachers had flatulence - and when you let one off in front of a 10/11 year old you can't really get angry when they laugh...which I did. Might have a look on YouTube to see if there are any tutorial vids available

Your Plans for 2017
The usual merlin parks and hopefully if all goes to plan Germany in September with @Roodie It will only be the second time I've gone abroad in my life so I'm excited and I won't need to fly either . Was a toss up between Europa or Phanny land but we've gone for the latter.

TPM Goes Down Saaaafend Sunday 12th February 2017
Great meet guys! The weather was a tad chilly but that didn't get in the way of having a good laugh with great company. Thanks to Paige for organising everything and everyone for making the day good fun - I currently have a pretty sore throat after screaming on a tame ride but I think it may have provided entertainment at the time . Also had the scariest ghost train ride ever ? Cheers guys!
