  1. Symbolica Latest The attraction according to Loopings will hold an approximate throughput of 1400 PPH, which will be slightly lower than Droomvlucht and Fate Morgan's at 1800 PPH, but comparatively higher than Baron at 1000 PPH.
  2. 1/ Swarm 2/ Inferno 3/ Stealth 4/ X 5/ Colossus 6/ Saw 7/ Fish Swarm is certainly the best for me, with Inferno and Stealth being close contenders. Colossus seems relitively rough these days and Saw still delivers Gerstlauer ache.
  3. I think Ryan should get promoted if we don't hear anything soon from Peaj. Maybe he was taken by Clowns after winning at Blackpool
  4. Southern Rail'S Ghost Train its frightening because it's real
  5. Profit-the ride if there's no profit to be had, we are closing thevride.
  6. Can't see Thorpe opening anytime soon for winte openings personally. apart from the more agreesive maintenance/work schedule, there's also weather conditions to consider which as a result would limit rides like Colossus, Saw and tidal wave from opening. Legoland do hold an annual Christmas event on selected days, but I'd personally save your money for Winter Wonderland or abroad (if affordable (see my other post)) as it's quite a lot for what it is.
  7. Yes, Chessington are getting a carousel because they're going in a circle. The best thing about the new ride is it's a new ride. It will probably be their best new ride since their last new ride,so it may be an acceptable addition.
  8. According to RCDB, this park. Will feature 10 coasters in 2017 (most of which are Vekoma). Both coaster types look pretty good and exciting, however Intamin's one probably has the edge for me having experienced Taron recently. Certainly a park to visit for the Creds at the minimum.

    Halloween

I'm gonna get my decorations up pronto. Got scarefest, xtreme scream, fright nights, shocktoberfest and more coming up.
  10. New terrifying destination next year? I thought that was the Gruffleworks.
  11. There's plenty of parks that remain open (to a large capacity) during closed season. Disneyland Paris is the obvious one Efteling Port Av Phantasia and Europa Liseberg I think is too (to a lesser extent).
  12. Me when Loggers Leap reopens, Colossus is repainted and Rumba gets rethemed
  13. My views on the Smiler seem to vary these days. The appearance and state for a three year old ride, is rather poor. Not to mention faulty projectors not being fixed, flooding and the jolts on the last two inversions. That being said, the Smiler is definitely a twisted steel wonder to watch and look at and the ride can be enjoyable depending on which train your on (which varies all the time).
  14. Visiting here for the first time on the 29th this month. which mazes should be given priority?
  15. Movie Park is perhaps one of Germanys lesser known parks, being home to a top quality indoor gerstlauer, a terrible woodie, marmite SLC amongst others. However for 2017, the park is set to gain another star attraction, in the form of A Mack launch coaster which will be themed around Star Trek. Source- Movie Park Facebook. Certainly looks an interesting and exciting coaster.
  16. I'll be doing all of those (except Screamland) plus Xtreme Scream Park and Legoland fireworks. It will be a first time for all of them for me (except Fright Nights. I think I'm most excited for Scarefest personally.
  17. Well I think I know what the wood for the trees is hinting here perfectly, Loggers Leap is for the chop. And how could they ruin that Train, least it fits the image of rundown like no other I guess.
  18. Yes, I think Blackpool probably have this one in the bag compared to SW8. In regards to theming, the ride here doesn't necessarily need one, but more so just some good styling. Helix for example is more styled than themed, but has no impact on the experience for me.

    Sugar in Tea

1 sugar in my coffee. I don't drink tea-The End.
  20. Very excited by this now, loving those tight Helix turns. Certainly looks amazing and definitely the best new ride in the UK for a while. Definitely some Helix and Taron elements in there as already mentioned. Whilst theming may be difficult, hopefully some creative styling and the ride will be perfect. Pleasure Beach are clearly onto a winner here.
  21. Well that was awkward. I guess my beyond unacceptable pic was not enough. Chiapas is an absolutely stunning water attraction, which is something that's great to ride and just as great to look at. The attention to detail from it's signage and soundtrack also compliment this. The UK definitely needs something like this.
  22. Fantastic news! This is probably the most exciting thing to happen at Blackpool for a long time and perhaps the UK as well. If Helix and a Blue Fire are anything to go by, this ride could be absolutely outstanding and 'possibly' even a Nemy beater (big statement I know). Blackpool and Liseberg are certainly must do park's in 2018.
  23. Meanwhile at Efteling, more work takes place to further enhance the magic of Symbolica. The highest point of the ride has now been constructed and just like everything Efteling, looks beautiful. Pictures copyright of Loopings. Certainly can't wait for this to open next year and definitely plan to return to Efteling next year to experience this. Best looking new ride for 2017 in my books.
  24. I think Taron style trains with the new Intamin style restraints, would do wonders for this ride and make it considerably more comftable and enjoyable as a whole. unfortunately though, can't this happening anytime soon, which is a shame as the ride is remarkably rough in its current state, unless you are upfront.
