May 14, 201312 yr comment_158962 The Transylvania music is the pirate cove music playing which I think ruins the experience.
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158972 I have always wondered why they built an evil Transilvania area around bubbleworks, it just seems really out of place now and yes PLEASE bring back Professor Burp!
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158973 Since the retheme was just done for monetary purposes, was more that new Bubbleworks came into Translyvania... I don't think revisiting the original concept would be ideal either... It needs a complete revamp of ideas and themes... No point attempting to link or better nostalgic memories...
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158979 Transylvania was not supposed to be evil. It was a bright, slightly odd Bavarian town square. The Vampire's castle was 'on the outskirts' if you like. But since the late 90s, Chessington have tried their best to turn the whole area into an evil spooky land of purple doom. With showers.
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158980 But by THAT reckoning, the old Count's Cauldron facade NEVER fitted into the original idea of Translyvania???????!
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158981 YES INDEED BubbleWorks used to fit in perfectly, from the outside at least. On the ride, however, it was completely bonkers and the 'European brewery' idea flew out the window.
May 14, 201312 yr comment_158984 Thing is most folk under 20 instantly think of horror and scares when you say Transylvania. The factual Romanian region is nowhere near as exciting as the home of Dracula.
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159407 Doesnt the plot of Bubbleworks remind you of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in some way?
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159410 Bubbleworks has a plot? It reminds me of catcf the ride in that they are both ruined versions of their former selves.
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159415 by plot I meant storyline (notice how I have no pic right now? Bloody TPM maintinance)
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159420 So do I, it still doesn't have one. (plot that is, not profile pic! if it did have one it should be this and not this )
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159433 The original BubbleWorks absolutely reminded me of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The way that everything was made in a literal, nonsensical way. Fruit squash being made in a squash court, a milkshake created by shaking a cow. In fact that's exactly how you would have explained the old ride to newcomers, Wiily Wonka with fizzy pop.Now...well I guess it's Imperial Leather's love note to itself.
May 25, 201312 yr comment_159436 a milkshake created by shaking a cow. That's quite funny! Although the joke was actually "Cream Soda" extracted from a cow bloated with carbon dioxide - making it float.
May 26, 201312 yr comment_159461 I just wanna know who did these puns for the Bubbleworks. I mean, who could go wrong with "Hic-Cups" and "Recycled Empties"? (Professor Burp riding on a motorbike in the Bottling Dept.)
May 30, 201312 yr comment_159744 Got to say again, Bubbleworks was looking excellent again today on the inside. Queue line is very shabby and dark in places though (combination of a dark blue wall and broken lights). Lick of paint please...
July 17, 201312 yr comment_163458 I went on this with my 2 year old a couple of weeks back and the last time I had been on it when I was probably about 8 years old! A lot has changed!! What happened to all the bubbles I remember and the water fountains! Was massively disappointed with it to be honest, just going around in a round tub with loud music on - shocking!
July 17, 201312 yr comment_163460 Actually of all the things gutted and re-done I think the fountains are one of the few things unchanged in the refurb?
July 17, 201312 yr comment_163468 Actually of all the things gutted and re-done I think the fountains are one of the few things unchanged in the refurb? Yeah, apart from the much worse lighting replacing the strobes and the removal of the mirrors.
July 20, 201312 yr comment_163683 Damn you Coke, Pepsi and all the other fizzy drink companies for not being the ones to sponsor the ride back in 2005. At least the theme would have stayed generally the same.
August 13, 201312 yr comment_165250 I wonder what will happen to Bubbleworks in the future? I'd love to see an indoor-outdoor river rapids replacing Bubbleworks. I think a Rapids ride is water ride attraction, that every theme park should have. Bubbleworks is old and could use an extensive refurbishment or to be replaced itself.
August 13, 201312 yr comment_165254 I would hate to see it go entirely, it just needs some love, attention, thought and class to be put back inside. The ride system itself is solid enough and the themes they could go for a pretty much endless. And strobes. It needs strobes.
August 13, 201312 yr comment_165258 The problem is the majority of the building sits on top of Vampire's station/brakes/maintenance shed... The best thing? Gut it and start afresh, the ride system is fine, just the theming is horrid...

All I want is for the ride to be extended outside and to have a new theme and name. 2) They could remove both rides, a 2-in-1 project. They could builds both rides at the same time.
August 14, 201312 yr comment_165298 Problem for having an outdoor section is literally WHERE would it go? You've got Vampire one side, the park boundary another and the zoo surrounding the lift/finale... Without serious modification to the surrounding area, an outdoor section on Bubbles (in the current location) isn't viable...
