Jake C
imagine this as the saw theme music for the ride lol http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LV9uCOobpHU&...feature=related
Dan_Rush
I can just see that music playing all day, give people a real headache if they are standing in queue. I guess it's a good theme though, at least it will be the first ride at the park to have a song with lyrics
Dan9
To put this into contrast, I would literally buy earplugs and put them in before every time I went into the Saw area. Either that or I would kill myself. It would seriously destroy the whole atmosphere and just annoy everyone. So please...No. I've said this before that the original Saw theme would be very good as ride music, but why do people keep trying to put in remixed versions? It's already good, changing to something like that would make it rather dreadful I'm afraid. And Dan, there is a good reason why Thorpe don't have any ride themes with lyrics . Sidders
Somehow lyrics just aren't as scary as some musics, I.e. - SAW's official theme. I think it would work really well as the ride's music, because it builds tension like Colossus', and I can't see anyone saying that Colossus' theme isn't tension building. Hopefully with the contract the franchise will let Thorpe have the film's theme for the ride.
A-Kid
I think it would be good to have the main Saw theme in all outside areas of the ride. But when you go into the inside of the building the experience starts really. I would love it if they used this ( http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R0Aw0gWQKxw ) theme for the inside queue with the bass really loud. The acctual copy of this music is far more bassy! I believe that track would create the right atmosphere for the inside corridors.Edit: Another track good to go with the saw theme on the outside queues would be this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AY-tdrV3WEA

Whiteknuckle
Definatley like the second track better
Dan9
I like the first one better .But do agree that the second would work too.
d.m.k
Both are excellent and I suppose would work best in different areas around the ride.Thorpe Park would be missing out on a huge part of the theme if they didn't use the official Saw soundtrack though, it really is amazing!I'm just hoping they can get the audio right. It's a new part of the park so it should all be brand new and separate. Can't wait
James
Anyone else miss Depth Charges old songs? Feeling Hot Hot Hot, Israelites, Sweets for my Sweet etc.
Theme Park bloke
I don't remember them, but they all sound like songs you can find anywhere else on the net. The current tune, the Flume one, is good for the ride.
James
They were last used in 2005. They were generic songs but they sounded so much better on the ride than the Flume soundtrack, and having just listened to them I would quite like them back. Theme Park bloke
I started properly going to Thorpe Park in July 2005, I never went on Depth Charge for the first time until about a year later.
d.m.k
Anyone else miss Depth Charges old songs? Feeling Hot Hot Hot, Israelites, Sweets for my Sweet etc.YES! YES! YES!These were the best songs ever for Depth Charge. I remember singing Sweets for my Sweet on a very rainy day while queuing for Depth Charge, one of the only times I've enjoyed queuing while singing to all those great tunes that were used. James
Ahh good times. They fit perfectly in summer holidays when its scorching hot, plus songs actually make queues a lot less irritating unlike an instrumental track.
treeis
if thorpe were smart, they would read this thread and make the queline back to what it was like for 2009 season.
James
They will probably read it and not care. It would be brilliant but they probably wouldn't put them back because they'd have to pay royaltys and they'd rather have a track stolen from Alton Towers and blah blah blah, whatever other reasons they'd come out with for not making old stuff good again, rather than concentrating on new stuff
John Smith
The end of day music at Thorpe is definately one of my favourite sound tracks on the park.It just fits so well with the park slowly emptying, and the quiet feel to it all.Looking on Merlin media, Thorpe Park Mania etc. I can't find it anywhere.. is it available to download anywhere or does anyone have it? Ashley W
Strange, I have never actually heard that being played in the park ever before. Definatly not the best soundtrack either. Sounds like a manipulated version of Star Fox's soundtrack (which is a good thing).
Daniel Watson
I heard it today whilst waiting for Inferno team to clear sick, was a nice change to the rumba theme tune as we were on volcano!
bubbly
I think Slammer has the best music in the park! Really puts me in the mood to be slammed in to the floor
Whiteknuckle
Yeah, especially when they start raising you up. I hear that first bit a lot on Radio 1 aswell, so I can't get away from it lol.
