themeparkmad
Why does Rameses Revenge never seem to have a queue? I know it is a childs park but Rattlesnake is not really a childs ride yet that gets quite high queues.
Mark9
Rameses did have quite long queues this year. Certainly a lot of the time it would have up to 30 minute queues. Part of the reason its queue is shorter then Rattlesnake majority of the time is because of throughput, no inversions on rattlesnake and spectatorship. People don't know what to expect from Rattle as most of it is hidden away and so are more likely to try it. Its the same reason dark rides such as No Way Out and Black Hole always had/have stupidly long queues.

Rich
Just to show you a vid of what Rameses was like back in the day with regards to the queues (can see a bit), colour scheme and settings. Used to run like any other top spin.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0ix3Bof_AU
Fred
Thats pretty much exactly how the usual setting is run now?
Rich
Umm, it's no where near the same as the two settings are now.
Fred
The ride goes around once, stops, swings.. goes forwards and backwards.. over, water thing.. stopped.. is the setting at the park. That video is near exact to that.. I cant see any major differences, and I hope I bloody know the cycle after watching it daily a year ago. Rich
Peter it's not the same as these two videos which shows the two programs it's only allowed to run today. It was re-programmed.
Kevin
Rameses runs on 6 different settings; settings are run with another one after the ride has finished it's cycle - I.e setting 2 is run after setting 5 and so on. I'm not sure of the coupling, but it happens after every ride to ensure difference between rides.
Rich
That's funny how every ride I've been on and every video on YouTube are exactly the same apart from the earlier years.

James
Every Rameses ride is setting 6 and 4.
Rich
That is what I thought.
James
Although I've just been informed that they have a combination of 1 & 3, 4 & 6 or 2 & 5 although I've only EVER seen or even heard of it being used on 4 and 6.
Skunky
Just to back up what sheepie said all operators of rameses revenge during the training must make sure they know that they can only use programmes 6 followed by programme 4. This is to keep it consistent and so people get the same ride they saw 2 minutes ago there is nothing worse than riding a ride then getting off and realising the ppl getting on get a different ride lol. Beth N
Only time I've seen Programme 7 being used while guests were on the ride was back in summer after the bars were being a pain and then it code phasing.Guests got 3 cycles to make up for it 6,4,7 :rolleyes:I was like grrr why do I have to be batching? Only time you guys weren't doing programme 6, programme 4 was when we had problems with the brakes and you guys had to keep sending it programme 4, programme 4.More intense ride
Emma.
I love Rameses Revenge soo much! My favourite ride at Chessington. I make sure get at least one go when I go there. I really do wish though that they put it on a better cycle all the time, it just makes it soo much more fun
Skunky
Well Rameses wont be as good this year as 2 of the best people to ever operate this ride have left chessington for better things. The ride itself will still be good but the 2 operators that are not at chessington anymore will make for some upset guests riding it.Rameses is one of the best rides at chessington in my opinion either Rameses or Fury are the best rides within the park. I will have to wait and see if they replace 2 of the best operators with anyone good.
Fred
Good people leave, new good people arrive. Always the case!

Skunky
lol I didnt mean to operate I meant to ride, I wouldn't know what it is like to operate. It is going to be very hard to replace the 2 people they have lost one of them still gets recognised where ever they go even at the thorpe meet they were recognised by 4 groups of people with the normal hey you going back this year or the general he used to work at chessington its like being famous lol
Ashley W
Everytime I ride Rameses Revenge, I haven't been too impressed with it's operation. Maybe I missed these 2 operators when I ride. Although, let's hope this reason, people will learn from Ripsaw.
Tom
It's on a setting, it's not manually operated (except for the fountains). So you must've just been unimpressed with the ride setting and not the operator.
Ashley W
I was actually referring to the fountains. However, the are many ways the settings could be improved (the over-powered braking ruins the ride).
Sheepie
In what ways weren't you impressed Ashley?
