Crazy! This should have been done ages ago.

What is it with all the merlin parks this year and being way behind with their investments?

Agreed. X no way out, The Smiler, Zufari and now this. Simply bizarre.

Id like to think there was a reasonable explanation behind it.

I can sort of understand with a water attraction like Duplo Valley... I personally want to run around in the water in the current weather! But all the other attractions and especially chessington closing 4 rides to upgrade them over easter is just absurd! At least they haven't shut the entire land at Legoland!

Thoughts and facts of my visit today.

Duplo Valley's main path is now accessible again and the shop has been renamed Splash Store. The three attractions still open reain unchanged, the toilets ave been refurbished and the nearby restaurant has new signage but inside remains the same.

Fairy Tale Brook had a lot of workers round it with models missing but some structures were still up except it looked somewhere ear the turn table had parts broken in pieces. As for the rest, the play area is starting to shape up with mostly only structures while the splash zoo & drench towers are almost non-existent at the moment except some sort of crane on site.

I can't see it finished until June at the moment , hoping too add pictures later.

Each have had their own little setbacks, all suffering from weather conditions as well.

Lego also suffered as they refused to close waterworks early to allow construction to commence. So, to prevent complaints last year they've caused a wonderful delay this year. Least it's not an attraction worth complaining about.

Except Fairy Tale Brook is closed for refurbishment.

Looks like a bit of an incident at the Legoland Hotel:

Official LEGOLAND Windsor We can confirm that the LEGOLAND Windsor Hotel was evacuated at 4pm yesterday - April 13 - when a potential problem was spotted in part of the swimming pool roof. All guests was escorted safely from the area and the hotel, but it appears that a small part of the pool roof structure has collapsed. The emergency services were alerted as a matter of procedure but Park engineers were quickly on site and the situation under control.

The hotel is operating normally although the swimming pool area remains closed.

The page also mentions a guest screaming at people to get out and the public outside in swimwear! Not good for a year old building.

I dunno how much truth there is to this, but a friend (who takes calls for ambulances) said she got a call in her area because the roof of the legoland windsor hotel caved in? I didnt believe it when I was told and I'm still not sure whether to believe it. Has anybody else heard anything or is it absolute twoddle? Thanks
