Todge
2 hours I waited today, probably the longest queue in the park throughout the day. Still worthit though
Matty22
I have only been on Colossus twice but I have never found it as rough as people make out
Theme Park bloke
The anti-rollback device ratchet noise must be everyone's favourite. Sounds painful if you ever caught your finger in it.
themeparkmad
I know this sounds like a strange question, but I heard that the please stand clear announcement (the usual 2006 one) was not playing. I was just wondering weither anyone who has been to THORPE PARK recently if they have heard it?!Thanks!
James
It's been off since the start of March, don't know whats happened to it and its quite likely it wasn't intentionally removed.

TraX
There is enough eyes here and I'm sure 'someone' is already on it.
Will
The truth is, they really don't care. It's just an announcement and it's not an important aspect. It's really fanboy-ish - my mates just knowing that I know so much about theme parks and rides is shocking enough.
themeparkmad
I think it gets the atmosphere going before the ride starts thats why I like it!

Thank god they ditched the new "Tony Blair" announcement that was short-lived.

TimR
I think the roughness depends on where you sit, I have found that sitting at the front of the car (not the train but the front of the train also works), the roughest bit is the Combra Roll IMO. Lordcutter6
I find sitting at the front of trains the most smooth. I noticed it hasn't got a big bars. But I can't stand anywaywhere else for the headbanging.
Stokesyboy
I dont find it very bumpy at all wherever I sit
Harry.D.C
I just find Colossus to be a ride that if the queue is short I will ride it but if it has a long queue I won't queue it because I am at that hight I have a headache when I come off it. I love the ride and loops though just not the head banging!
Stokesyboy
I like Colossus but I'm not getting as bigger thrill out of it as I used to, but saying that after queueing an hour and a half for it boy does it make it feel like such a good ride
Chloebell
I don't find it bumpy at all, wherever I sit. The only problem I have with it is that it seems very unreliable. A few weeks ago I queued about 1 hour 45 mins for it. I was next in line with my mate to go on then it broke down for 30-45 mins They didn't even give us exit passes, just made us wait there for what seemed like FOREVER; probably becuase my mate was German so we didn't even talk - it was quite awkard (sp?)
