February 5, 201114 yr comment_108282 Lap Bars would be hideous on Saw. The ride is intense with some very quick transitions. I feel therefore that your upper half would be thrown about too much.
February 6, 201114 yr comment_108291 Its the sort of ride where most people need to something to hold on to and this would stop that and so is pretty unrealistic, although fun I reckon it would be a step too far for most people.
February 6, 201114 yr comment_108299 Why can't they hold the lap bar? And OTSRs don't mean you have to hold on anyway, you can still put your arms up either way, just much more freedom with lap bars.
February 7, 201114 yr comment_108380 I'd still ride it with lap bars but I wouldnt feel as safe :L if the lap bars were like the ones on rush that would be amazing
February 7, 201114 yr comment_108381 The eurofighter lap bar restraints would be similar to what you would find on a Maurer Sohne X-car coaster, as I have a feeling the ones on rush would not be big and sturdy enough for inverting transitions. Although having said that, some Schwarzkopf coasters that go upside down have lap bars. I highly doubt that Saw will ever get lap bars now.
February 28, 201114 yr comment_109659 Lap bars would make it feel more terrifying and more of the saw feel I think . Would be a change but my girlfriend would refuse to go on I Think few people would . It Would whip people around more and agree with post above the upper part of your body would take a big strain .
February 28, 201114 yr comment_109664 Rush is great with lapbars though.......Rush doesnt go upside down though. I personally would love saw with the lapbars, but there are a lot of people in the public who will only go on a rollercoaster that goes upside down with the overhead restraints. How ever fun it could be, the overall factor is, will they get enough people going on it.Not likely to happen though
February 28, 201114 yr comment_109666 Rush is great with lapbars though.......And Loggers Leap is great with no restraints at all...Doesn't mean Saw would be though...

March 1, 201114 yr comment_109694 People don't really like Lap Bars though do they? The ammount of times I've had to convince people they're not going to fall out of Rush (2 or 3 I think)

March 1, 201114 yr comment_109705 Hi there I have been "lurking" the forum for a while now and this seems like a nice community for thrill-seekers and alike, so I have decided to take the leap and register! Here goes..I went to Thorpe Park last year for my first time (I'll be going back in August) and I thought SAW was a great ride, particularly because the SAW series is one of the best series of films IMO. Although I did prefer Colossus, SAW is a great ride and I will be sure to go on it in August. The theming is good inside the building but I would've preferred it if more of the queue line was inside as I felt like a miserable drowned rat waiting with my brother. The actual ride itself is fun but not as good as Colossus as I don't think it gives you that "Wow" factor but nontheless me and my brother enjoyed it.-Tom
March 2, 201114 yr comment_109731 Yeah, I think what SAW and Colossus have in common is that when you stop at the end your face feels completely wind slapped and you think 'woah'
March 2, 201114 yr comment_109748 Yeah, I think what SAW and Colossus have in common is that when you stop at the end your face feels completely wind slapped and you think 'woah' Tottaly agree with you the best feeling you get at a theme park but usally not the wind that slaps me it's the misses lol
March 9, 201114 yr comment_110156 Yeah I love that feeling like the wind has slapped you! Especially when you hair is all blown back and you're buzzing until you get another ride! Saws's main drop definatly gives you that feeling!
March 9, 201114 yr comment_110158 Saws's main drop devinatly gives you that feeling!Tottaly agree the best bit on saw !! Luv that ride been on 5 times in a row once and the best feeling ever and what a head buzz thought my head was going to explode .

March 12, 201114 yr comment_110610 Idk, most of my mates think it's a waste of time. I'm quite neutral tbh.
