Stokesyboy Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 I queued for 5 mins at the end of the day when everyone started leaving around 6 o clock ish so its all good Quote
subculturehero Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 I queued an hour for it once... only 'cos it broke down when we were standing in the gates! It's okay, but it shakes around and creaks too much for me to not fear for my safety throughout the ride! Quote
Sam P Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 The most I have qued was 20 mins the shortest 0 mins. Quote
Stokesyboy Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Do the staff always say scream if you want to go faster or can they not make it go any faster anyway? Quote
Sam P Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Do the staff always say scream if you want to go faster or can they not make it go any faster anyway? All the time I have been on Quantum and thats a lot of times the ride op has never said scream if you want to go faster. Not sure if they can make her faster depends on the setting I think not sure. Quote
Stokesyboy Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Aha I think it might have been because she was either in a good mood or there was quiet a lot of little kids on the ride at the same time Quote
Dan9 Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Do the staff always say scream if you want to go faster or can they not make it go any faster anyway? ........... Quote
James Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Do the staff always say scream if you want to go faster or can they not make it go any faster anyway? They used to do it on Stealth but they aren't allowed to anymore because someone did it and it flew over the top hat at 200mph.</lolz> Quote
Martin Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 It's true, my gran was on it. =\ Gggggggg 1 Quote
TraX Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 You can't change the settings on Quantum. What the operator is doing is guest interaction.Quantum is on a 'friendly' setting and is better in the afternoon once it's warmed up. Dependent of weight, but tbh, the ride does pretty much what it wants to! Quote
Todge Posted April 10, 2009 Report Posted April 10, 2009 I went on quantam for the first time yesterday.. after rush... and I really enjoyed it, top class and I will be definetly giving it another go next time Quote
Stokesyboy Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 Yeah I think I shall definatly be giving it another go, quite jerky though at some points on the way down Quote
Thrillseek3r Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 You queued for Quantum for 60 minutes? Is that correct? I didn't think Quantum's queue held for a 60 minute queue. If you did, no offence but are you mad! Yes, 1 HOUR lol I was not impressed :/ you should of seen my face on it, it's the same face when I'm forced to watch eastenders or something else thats terribly boring hehe (not poking Eastenders fans btw). This was last tuesday (7th April).. so the Easter break is to blame. Will I ever go on it again? Maybe... if I'm dis-illusioned or bribed to go on it again Being fair, it is a nice little ride. And I would of appreciated it much more if I was younger, which I guess is it's purpose for now (: Quote
Lordcutter6 Posted April 11, 2009 Report Posted April 11, 2009 They sometimes say on Black Bucaneer that if you scream louder the higher it goes, but just for the thrill Quote
holtjammy16 Posted April 12, 2009 Report Posted April 12, 2009 I Find that on quantum if you hold on really tight to the bars on the back of the seats infront of you then your stomach dosn't drop as bad, but if you hold your hands up in the air and loosen your legs then it really gets you going, does anyone agree? Quote
thorpeparkjunkie Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Quantum really surprised me when I went on it for the first time, I thought it would be poor but it turned out to be a very fun ride and I dont think I have ever laughed so much Quote
Sam P Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 When I went to the park for a Travel and Tourism trip Storm in a tea cup and Quantum are teacher just got the giggles we dont know why but oh well. When I first ever saw Quantum I thought I wont waste my time going on that but we got in the queue to try it out and it was a lot better than me and my brother expected. Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 The ride has run like clockwork since it's downtime in late 2007. Quote

Garry Williams Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 my god this ride really packs a punchit doesnt seem quite as good nowdays as it used to be but its still fantastic and provides good airtime Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Had an OK ride on Quantum yesterday, it started off as normal, before doing 2 "over the top" swings, and then it took us back up to the top and stopped right there, at the very top, for about half a minute, before it swung back down, and the ride was over. Odd. Quote
Ricky Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 It's only on a one fixed setting these days. I prefer the old dats when it had 2 settings then you were taken for a surprise Quote
themeparkmad Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I usually end up walking straight past Quantum to be honest. However, last time I went to THORPE PARK. I went on it and I actually quite enjoyed it! :)Also, the queue was advertised as 15 mins and it was vertually a walk on! Quote
Sam P Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 I usually end up walking straight past Quantum to be honest. How can you walk past Quantum with out wanting to ride I have to go on it everytime I go pass it Quote
