terrortomb
Is there a best place to sit on the Kobra? (I.e. where most air-time is achieved). As far as I gathered on my last visit, the side furthest away from the entrance gates are the optimum seats. Rich
It can very per ride. There is normally a set area on the ride that it will hit the top, but sometimes the ride (edge included) will do something odd as in not go over the hill when it should of, and go back the other way, if that is the case the set of seats might be COMPLETELY different when it goes to the other side! Ricky
Anyone know exactly what happened whilst it was shut for a few weeks..? I couldn't help noticing that the pain difference was hugely decreased on my last ride.
MikeyT
Basically, the ride manufacturer was called in, to do some repairs on the track and also to try and prevent the ride from valleying over the camel back on the Lorikeet's side. They ended up putting new wheels on the Gondola, which unfortunately has slowed the ride down quite a bit, ride doesn't reach the top anymore, literally no feeling of weightlessness on the camel back. Dan9
And it still doesn't seemed to have solved the problem, it's valleyed at some point during the day the last two times I've visited.
Luke_A
Did Edge at Paulton's Park have many of these problems, Surely Zamperla should solve the problem soon, rather than creating more! now that the Gondola has different wheels, it seems to have too much track friction and is not reaching the top of the two towers and goes over the airtime hill slower. I'm sure they will get it sorted soon though; being as it is a major ride.
Kevin
The ride manufacturer was called in last week to do what MikeyT said, they did that overnight. It was closed for structural work for a week or so in June.

Edge also rarely faults, it will do a silly cant find home fault where it goes back and forth for a minute trying to find the sensor. It does this approx once every 1-2 weeks! JoshC.
Does anyone know roughly how much Kobra / any Disk-o coaster costs? Don't really care if the costs don't include theming and whatnot, just curious.
James6
About £10, £15 without hairline fractures

Luke_A
Wow! that it not as much as I expected, being as most major rollercoasters now cost around £10M or over & that some flat rides can be quite expensive now. (I know A Mega Disk' O coaster is not A Rollercoaster.)So if a Mega Disk' O is that much, then how expensive are the smaller ones and other Zamperla rides e.g Rockin' Tug and Air Race? James6
Remember this is Zamperla... Not the highest quality rides ever made by any stretch of the imagination.
th13teen
I feel Kobra offers a great riding experience for the family area and still is a great supporting ride for thrill rides!

Fred
Majority of rollercoasters dont cost £10m, none of the merlin ones have.Remember, merlin add theming, paving and most importantly marketing into their overall cost of their coaster
JoelPagett
Check out my guides to the new Wild Asia Land Here! I Really love Kobra I think its a fantastic addition to the park and I especially love the lorikeet lagoon!
themeparkmad
Still not really happy with this ride.Sometimes get a good ride but most of the time come off thinking - I have waited all this time for that?!Would have to go on at least once as still a good ride just not worth queuing over 30 mins for imo.
