October 22, 201113 yr comment_125433 That's not the entrance to the bridge though, surely? Look at the shadow on the ground; you can see it dip into a barely visible crease which says to me, were the photo taken much closer to the ride, you'd be able to see the lake running through it - that area is, after all, where the mysterious piece of track was submerged into the water. The support in the foreground is positioned on the bank on the side that the photo was taken from, but the track at the bottom of the drop is positioned in the other side of the bank, leaving the small body of water to run through the 'crease' as it were. If you look at the site plan, you can see what I mean: If you look carefully, this photo appears to be taken just West of the small black arrow in the bottom right of the site plan, showing that the bridge is actually much further along the plot. The photo in Rollercoaster's post was not taken from the proposed entrance bridge.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125441 The below photo shows them starting work on the inline twist, the base of this support closest to the lift will mark the base of the tower part of the building which strangely the foundations havent been layed... or even started... Lets hope budget cuts havent set in.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125443 Not wishing to go all reactionary, but epic fail won't even begin to cut it if the tower goes Having said that, I don't see how it can - part of the queue goes through it? I'm sure it's just different build order, nothing to worry about... Yet.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125446 Not to mention the tower being a very destroyed section of the building and therefore will take less time to build, so they may just been concentrating on the harder build at the moment? Anyone's guess really.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125448 ^ That's a completely different game; it was a hut on steel supports. This is an actual building structure, which will take much more structural work to install.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125449 Yeah I know that, I just wanted to know, since from what I see on the plans, it will be partially hollow in the middle, so I say, take the time it took to build the collapsed tower and add around 2 weeks onto the construction time.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125450 Having said that, I don't see how it can - part of the queue goes through it? - Flashbacks of Stealth's grand stand -
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125451 On a harder thought, my main guess would be to build the track first so they can then work around it, but even still surely the base square foundations could of been built?
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125452 Very difficult to say without being on site. As we've seen from track erection so far, build order is vitally important in a space as small as this. Given a support was erected then taken down again due to blocking access for another phase of the build, anything is possible I guess.
October 22, 201113 yr comment_125476 And they called it..puppy loooooooove Ha! Love it. (Although it would have been better with an Inferno train on it's lift hill)
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125497 The tail fin on the aircraft themeing is going to offer an amazing near miss element into the zero g roll! As for the tower, what are the two tall metal structural elements for to the left of the track exit point? They look like part of the tower construct to me.
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125505 ^Those 2 things are some pillars which will be partially destroyed.
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125510 The picture above is the south elevation, the photo I was referring to below is the east elevation. The two steel girders sticking up into the air are the same height as the main station roof, and therefore must be something to do with the tower on the right hand side of the schematic above. Is that the tower we are referring to?
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125513 I have no idea what we're talking about, I assume the two large beams and from this plan, where the train exits the station building, looks like the start of the tower. Edited October 23, 201113 yr by Neilfever
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125514 Yup Neil that is my conclusion too. I am not sure where this idea has come from that the tower is not under construction or that it might be omitted!? As far as I am concerned, that is clearly the bare bones structure of it sticking up in the air!
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125527 The reason I know that the two metal gurders already constructed are part of the tower is because they are part of the main building. The Tower is completely seperate building, as shown below. And as you can see in this piture the two gurders are are part of the rectangular par of the lower south building. Also if you look at the EAST ELEVATION, you can see the Two metal gurders which as Neilfiever previously show the other angle was hidden by the currently nonexistant tower.
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125529 Half of the zero-g roll up, pic from theme park guide. That is enormous! It's hard to think that the Zero-G roll is going to be at the same height as Saw, as Colossus and as Nemesis Inferno when they reach their peak heights!
October 23, 201113 yr comment_125531 It seems to me the Zero-G roll looks steep from every angle. Look at the picture below and you can see just how steep the rise is:Hello, positive G's...
