I've only ever used single rider queues at Alton Towers and I think they're great! I never went to Thorpe park at the time when they were using the single rider ques for some of the rides. Every time I've seen or asked why they got rid of it they've always said people misused it. I just saw this on Facebook replying to someone. How were people misusing the system? The system is for people who are willing to ride alone, I don't see how it can be misused? Also how did this lead to slowing down the queue for everyone else?

Do single rider queue lines even exist anymore at Thorpe Park? I remember seeing it a few rides when visiting a few years back but I haven't seen them since, could just be that I haven't looked out for them - does anybody know which rides still have them to this day? Cheers in advance!

Sorry, another size question. I'm just panicking as I'm going to TP tomorrow and scared I'll have to do the walk of shame haha Anyone of similar size had any problems? I'm most worried about Colossus. 5'7, 237lbs size 20 both top and bottom I don't have a measuring tape but last time I checked my chest was 49", stomach 47" standing. I also have quite large thighs. I have lost 35lbs since then so maybe a little smaller now, although I am still the same size clothing lol. Thanks.

Hi, I'm quite a large female, but also on the shorter side and was wondering about the chest/thigh restrictions on Thorpe Park Rides. I've been to Flamingo Land in Yorkshire many times and had no worries about fitting in rides at all and not even needed help from the workers. But there seems to be a lot about size restrictions and people being turned down in Thorpe Park, even if they are below the restriction of 51 inches stated on the website. So was just wondering if anyone has been on any rides in Flamingo Land (as this is my most recent experience; and I went on them all - Kumali, Mumbo Jumbo etc) with no problems at all. Don't know if I'm just worrying for no reaso…

Hi everyone, this is my first post - this question isn't about me it's about my partner who is a quite a big guy! He is around 6'1, 19st & has a bit of a belly on him, I'm just wondering if he will be OK on the rides at Thorpe Park? We're also going to Alton Towers & Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the same week. It's my 26th birthday & as a surprise he's booked for me to go everywhere. We've both been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach before, I have been to Alton Towers many a time (he hasn't) & we recently went to Porto Aventura earlier this year & he was okay on the rides there.. but I am just a little worried about him. I would die if he saw me posting thi…

Hi, I am visiting Thorpe park next weekend however I am a bit on the large side and wondering if anyone from past experience has any advice. I am about 48/9 inch chest and 6ft2inch and around 21stone. I know on the website it says about torso size but what seems to do it for me is my legs. Thanks for your help

Hey! So fairly new back to the forum, never been to one of the meets and a little nervous to meet a load of people for the first time! I am not shy, just not something I have done before, I saw it is possible to organise a small meet up on a day with a few maybe going the same day, does this usually work and have people done it in the past? All new to me!

This isn't me going over another topic, but today my friend is at thorpe park and they were in the swarm queue and supposedly something fell off it again. Basically the island has been evacuated so before it hits the tabloids again, what do you think it is?

Does Stealth or Ghost Train have set opening days or times? I live 350 miles away from Thorpe Park so it's an expensive trip out for us with hotel stay needed. We have been three times now and each time Stealth was closed and on the last visit Ghost Train was closed too.

  14. hey! After seeing this advert once or twice I immediately realized stealth is featured, there's not much to confirm but I will share anyways. Its looks good (Sorry for the images)Video: Screencaps:Thank you for reading, I will enjoy your comments/thoughts(Knowing my luck, theres probably a post I did my best searching)Rollercoaster

Does anyone have any storm surge audio like announcements?

  17. Started by thorpeparkjunkie,

Hi there everyone, I am planning to write a letter to Thorpe Park & Merlin in hope of Storm Surge's top frame to be themed. I think we can all agree it would improve the look of the ride & help it blend in with Amity Cove. After recent petitions on TowersTimes to remove the Fanta sponsership being so succesful I think it is worth a try. The frame currently looks very bare & sticks out like a sore thumb. Let's try and help the ride blend in better beccause I myself feel it lets the rest of the park down.http://www.fotowhizz.com/thorpe/stormsurge003/023.htmhttp://www.fotowhizz.com/thorpe/stormsurge003/015.htmPlease State your name and a comment including suggesti…

I'm not sure if anyone would know... I got tickets for the summer nights on friday 2nd august, which gates open at 7 and rides 7.30... I am also planning to go in the day, and seen that the park closes at 7. so how do thorpe park know who to let on the rollercoasters after 7.30 etc. if I am already in the park? and as you don't have to pay for parking for the summer event, if I stay there all day and for the summer nights thing I don't have to pay for parking. so confused. any help would be grateful, thanks.

Ok so I'm thinking about booking for 25th-26th of August (overnight in hotel) and for 3adults and one young adult it all comes to £232.50 and I was wondering wether this is normal till 7pm or summer nights tickets included. Cheers thanks Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk

  21. Started by KyleS,

Does a ticket to Summer Nights for non-passholders (£15) get you both entry to the park and access to the rides or do you have to have a park admission ticket separately? Can I buy the summer nights ticket and show up just for the evening rides? I'm going to be in the Heathrow area on the 17th and thought this would be a fun way to kill some time but I won't be able to get to the park much earlier than late afternoon so I don't want to buy a full day ticket if it's not required. Would you expect that I'd be able to get all the coasters done at least once during the 6 hour event? Thanks

Hi everyone, I was planning to visit thorpe in the busiest week of summer when they are trailing reserve and ride. I was also looking forward to the sunscream event as I went last year and there was some nice entertainment on but it appears that it isn't returning? Can anyone confirm this as it would be a shame to have no entertainment in the busiest week of the year! Thanks to all.
