The Best & Worst Things About THORPE PARK
JoshC. replied to thorpeparkjunkie's question in Quick Questions
How are either of those TP's fault though? -
Thankfully, I'm in the situation now where most of my teachers can actually teach. More just the fact there's one teacher who has enough respect for us to get things done. Like last year, we had a teacher who couldn't teach us. We complained to the her, asking if she could try things we prefer. That didn't work. Went to head of Science. That didn't work. Went to this teacher, she got it sorted and we've got a new teacher this year. However, I wouldn't be surprised if loads of people in my year don't get their best possible grades. Loads of the teachers aren't that good and last year was even worse. As I said, thankfully I'm not in that situation. (And if I'm honest, I admire you for reading all of that - I did babble on a bit. )

Right, time for a rant about practically everything.Firstly, school. As I've said before, French at my school is a shambles. I've tried resolving it with my teacher, but she's too stubborn to take on board our comments. So, I told the headteacher, hoping he might be able to resolve things and calm down the bad atmosphere we have. But when he talks to her, she takes it as a personal insult and it does nothing. And apparently I should have talked to her instead of going above her head, which I tried. So basically, she keeps getting the wrong end of the stick. Don't get me wrong, she's a nice person, just not a good teacher. Then, there's people. There's someone who I don't like at school. Though he has never done anything to me, he is a rude guy who is incredibly annoying and has done stuff to my friends. Yet he seems to think we are best friends. So when I say that I don't want to talk to him, he takes great offence and thinks that I've broken the friendship we had. In the end, I don't want nothing to do with him, yet he does. And he never seems to get the idea. Then, there's someone else at school as well. Last year, she was one of my best friends. Ever since 2010 started, she's tried eradicated me from her life. If I breath next to her, I'm doing something wrong. I regularly get told by her "Shut up. You're annoying me, f*ck off." In fact, yesterday, I was having a conversation with a mutual friend of her and me, and when she arrived, the first thing she said was "f*ck off, you're getting on my nerves." Yet she asks me over MSN constantly if there's any homework due or stuff like that. She's smart enough to know, and she makes it quite clear she doesn't like me, yet she still asks me for everything. And then when I say no, I get told to either "cheer up or f*ck off." Oh, and apparently because she got better marks on one essay in English, she now feels she's better than me at everything and I should see her for tutoring. Perhaps I should see the site she copies her essays from instead...Continuing on from that, people just seem to like using me. I regularly get asked "Because you're the smartest person I know, can you help me with..." Doesn't matter what I'm doing, my MSN status could be set to 'Busy', I could be there reading or writing an essay, but still, I've seemingly got to help someone who I barely speak to just because I'm smart. THEN, there's the arrogant heap of (god, I wish I actually swore). Because he's got a place at a Private School, he thinks he's perfect and above us and all that (I'm sure I've mentioned this on here before). A couple of days ago, he was asking me if I was gay. I said no. He then replied "Oh, so that means you only act gay... Ah, I understand now. So you act gay to befriend girls so you can hit on them. Makes sense now." Now apparently he meant it as a joke - but seriously, how am I meant to take that as a joke. Especially when he says it so seriously. (No offence is meant to gays there, but I hope people understand where I was coming from there). On top of all of that, there's just the general stress of school with GCSEs coming up and all the revision which is coming into full swing now. ARGH!

WOW! How dare you accuse me of such a crime!! I just guessed after I read the bit about champagne and squeeze me.

^Cheers AeRo. :lol:Been quite a lot of updating on the site now. The 'Park Informer' section now features all of the rides an attractions, separated into: 'Coasters', 'Flats', 'Water Rides', 'Other Rides / Attractions' and 'Fright Night Attractions'. In light of the MTDP being added, I have added a page about that, talking through all the possibilities of what might be added in the coming years. The 'Park News' section is updated whenever news comes in. Now that I have got the majority of the information up, I'm going to be working more on the look and the design of the site - it is quite plain and boring at the moment, as you can tell. I've got photos in the pipeline, but as I only have a small selection of decent photos to choose from at the moment, I'm going to wait till open season to get more photos and then upload them all at once.Link to the site is above. As usual, all comments are greatly appreciated.

You know what might help? Take you revision books or whatever and go to the barhroom. There are barely any distractions in there, no tele, laptop, etc. It is was my friends and I do (not together if course ) and it really helps me concentrate. The same might help you. However, your parents may get the wrong idea, you spending loads of time in the bathroom...

Okay, I am sorry - as you can understand, I did not know the whole story. However, as I said, if we had known him like you do, then I'd have no problem really, but otherwise, I do. Again, I am sorry about all this kerfuffle.

Of course that is incredibly heart breaking. I have never experienced anything near that scale of sadness. However, how am I meant to know that? He did not say it on the forums (but I do not blame him for that - it is incredibly personal). All I knew is that he was being incredibly rude to some members. In the end, you are half saying it like I was some how meant to know it. I do not get my kicks out of kicking people while their down. I'm not that sort of guy. However, I still will stick to my guns and keep the quotes there. Why? Because, in the end, he was incredibly rude to other members. In the end, I see no need for anyone to do that. If someone on here knew him personally, yes, that would be more acceptable. But to people on a forum who don't know your personality? I just find it wrong. As I said, I'll stick to my guns, leave the quotes there, let the Admins deal with it. Then, I will see what happens, and let actions take its course.

2 of my friends have the same prom dress and are in a massive row. At least you're not in that situation.

I am not desperate to get at him in no way. I would gain no personal satisfaction in getting him in trouble. For the most part, I have not seen the 'level headed, helpful poster' side to him. I have seen a very different side to him. In the end, there might be a problem - I don't know. I am going to keep my dignity though by doing what I feel is right and keeping the quotes. I will let Admin deal with it in whatever way they see fit. If I was completely wrong, I will hold my hands up and apologize. Hopefully you can kinda see my view. As I said, if I am being out of order, I will apologize. However, I feel the Admin do need to know all of what has gone on tonight.
-
I'm carrying on here as I've used maximum quotes in the post above...
-
I thank you. Right, well, when an Admin comes online, Josh R has no way of covering up the incredibly rude posts he has clocked up in the past hour or two. I will edit this with any more obscene / rude posts he makes. On Dummiguy's profile:Josh R Today, 06:14 PMDon't ever, ever put words into my mouth again. Dumb ****.

They will be mock ups if they're legit. As you pointed out, all 3 have a same turn in them. I'm a bit sceptical about the third one as it is, seems a very odd place to put a coaster, and might cause too much noise to be heard outside the park.Loads of flats; will further increase TP as being the place well known for its flats - only a good thing.
-
I couldn't agree more to be honest. Anyways, I'm with Paul and James at the moment, just having a really bad day week.
-
If I'm honest, I'm not greatly excited by these plans. I don't know why, it's interesting and all, but there's nothing that's making me think 'WOW' for some reason. Might be because I'm in a bad mood, but hey ho. If I'm honest, they're showing all these different flats, and I can't see some of them being put there. As I said, the plans are interesting, but not exciting.

And when you have the 'second chance' to take them, it is hardly a walk in the park. It's worse than the first try. I don't feel relieved when I resit - I feel worse. The pressure is put on even more. Then, when you get the chance to go to a concert, only to have it spoiled by the fact you have exams to do, it is even worse. I do not know how Gemma feels, but what I'm saying is how I would feel if I was in her position. I'm not having a go at you here, I'm just pointing it out. In the end, whenever I read this topic, I always try to put myself in the 'ranters' shoes. When I do that, I can empathise with them. When I read Ryan's post, it seemed so sarcastic, and just had to 'rant' at him for it. To be honest, I've given up trying to have a view. Whenever I say something, it's wrong. Not just here, everywhere. With everyone. So basically, why should I bother any more? Bye bye.
-
I give up. I honestly wonder why I bother...
-
Well, perhaps if your post wasn't so sarcastic, it wouldn't come across as you have a go at her, would it? Thanks for that.
-
Will, I am very sorry to here about that. For goodness sake, it is stress! She's in Year 11, finishing off here GCSEs. Firstly, loads of people hate having their photos taken - especially school photos. Loads of people feel 'unlucky' when it comes round. Then, when she gets a concert booked - which is something designed to relax and have fun - it is sandwiched by 3 flipping exams... that are retakes and most likely last chance!! That is what I would class as 'bad luck'. Sure, it may seem petty compared to other things - just look at WIll's example - but it doesn't mean you have to have a go at her. Jeez... ¬¬

Unless I'm mistaken, it is the newest SAW they've got, and their fifth newest video. If that's what you call on of the oldest, I'm worried as to what you call new.

Wow, nice photo. As far as I know, the jolt has not been removed. The lift hill / drop has not been replaced. Unless there was another way of rectifying the problem (which I assume is highly unlikely), then I doubt the jolt has been removed.
