August 29, 201015 yr comment_97576 Depends what you mean by busy. It's a stupid question anyway, how do we know.
August 29, 201015 yr comment_97577 The park has been busy on all my visits this season whether that be school days, school holidays or weekends. But like Jack says Who knows.
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97585 I doubt it would be that busy, Sunday's in term time are usually quiet, especially September.Hardly term time.Schools don't till next Monday and colleges later. Won't be as busy as previous Sundays, but still fairly busy.
August 30, 201015 yr Author comment_97586 If it is busy, just plan your day carefully and you'll still get on everything..
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97592 It will be busy.Just not as busy as today, tomorrow or Wednesday. Then again, it could be just as busy as 99% schools are still on holidays.
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97605 It could be. Then again, it could easily be just as busy. Or busier...
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97606 Hardly term time.Schools don't till next Monday and colleges later. Won't be as busy as previous Sundays, but still fairly busy.Local schools to me go back this Friday, so for me, yes it is term time.
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97608 Local schools to me go back this Friday, so for me, yes it is term time. And a lot of local schools to me start on the Monday. To be honest, starting on a Friday is pretty pathetic. I'd still class the Sunday as non-term time, because that one day will make very little difference in my eyes.
August 30, 201015 yr comment_97611 I work in a secondary school and our students go back on the wednesday (most schools in the area are thursday). A lot of primary schools are friday and monday for going back.
September 2, 201014 yr comment_97775 I'm really excited because I'm visiting Thorpe Park new week on friday when I start college, I was just wonder how busy people think it will be considering people are now bk at work and school etcI was just trying to think about what to fit in etc and I am so nervous because I don't want to not make any new friends and have to hang around by myself :S(not that what I'm saying is really relevant)
September 3, 201014 yr comment_97849 I pretty much understand this...So is this basically saying the park opens for longer ie 10-10 when it expects to be at its busiest?I'm scottish so I dont know english school holidays... is 25th to 31st October 10-10 because thats english schools' october week?So 10-5 weekdays just before or after this week should be quiet? as in no more tha a 30 minute wait for major rides?
September 8, 201014 yr comment_98217 So 10-5 weekdays just before or after this week should be quiet? as in no more tha a 30 minute wait for major rides?Yup, but go on the 10pm days anyway, cos Fright Nights are worth it.
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99008 Anyone been to Thorpe mid week this week? How busy should I expect it to be on Thursday?
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99011 Last week during the week it wasnt "dead" Colossus on 2 trains . 20 / 30 minsSaw - 30 minsIts not dead, but certainly quiet.
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99012 Its about as quiet as the park has been all year, it just doesn't seem to be empty anymore. Which is great for the business, bad for us lot!
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99013 I would consider that pretty dead...Since those are usually the busiest roller coasters with the slowest moving queues.
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99014 I would consider that pretty dead...Since those are usually the busiest roller coasters with the slowest moving queues.Saw slow moving queue? Inferno around 30 mins too..Its quiet, not dead. Dead is when Colossus runs on half a train and is still walk on.. Expect that sort of dead during the first few October weekdays and the last week in November =]
September 20, 201014 yr Author comment_99015 I would consider that pretty dead...Since those are usually the busiest roller coasters with the slowest moving queues.I remember the days when Thorpe was truely dead. Having a whole Colossus train to myself on 2005 open day.. now that was dead. 20 minute wait for a 2 train Colossus? That's quiet but still a hefty wait.
September 20, 201014 yr comment_99016 What should it be like on Saturaday 2nd October, the first weekend before fright nights?
September 21, 201014 yr comment_99042 Same question as above, but this Saturday (September 25th) Thanks!
September 21, 201014 yr comment_99043 We dont know, its open till 5 so they probably dont expect it to be mega busy (EG 2 hour qs on main rides) but if the weathers good id say will probably be reasonably busy.
