Benin
And why is Candy Holland taking credit for something she didn't work on?No dear, you gave us Saw and Thirteen... AstroDan
Sheepie
Candy has been part of the Studios for a long time. She was made Creative Director for the Studios when we got Saw and Thirteen. I guess she has become the spokes person much like Wardley has in recent years for rides he hasn't necessarily had that much input in. Liam T
Nemesis was quite the head banger on Saturday, I'm not sure if it was due to old age or opening day blues but personal, it was painful to ride!
AstroDan
Painful? I rode it and yes, it had a few jolts - but it wasn't "painful" I didn't think.I thought it was bloody awesome actually.
pluk
I'm going to Alton tomorrow, and am pretty much as excited to get on Nemesis again (for what must now be well over my hundredth time) as I was to get on the Swarm for the first time. It's that good.
Mark9
Nemesis was quite the head banger on Saturday, I'm not sure if it was due to old age or opening day blues but personal, it was painful to ride!As I said in chat on Saturday, it is an 18 year old ride starting it's 19th season. It's bound to get a little coarser round the edges from time to time. Bloody brilliant ride though.

Liam T
Nemesis was pure brilliance yesterday, Front Row is always the best for Nemesis! Only one jolt, the rest was Also, have you ever wondered how Nemesis' rivers get so red? Mer and Cornflakes
Crafty
cool video - how come these rides never seem to have the track cleaned? I heard before some people saying how difficult it is but surely a pressure washer and some time when the rides closed in winter and there's no problem, at least cleaning the visible areas? Fred
No time/budget to do it. Literally that'll be it. Nemesis track used to be painted every winter when it first opened!
Sheepie
Plus, when Nemesis first opened didn't the track have painted effects on? Ie- it wasn't just a block colour but it had some kind of paint effect which looked cool. I'd like to see the exterior of the station given a proper refurb; painting is all well and good but you can see the fibreglass resin coming through on some parts of the station. MikeC
As far as Nemesis is concerned, I'm not too botherd about a repaint. Large sections of the track could do with a quick wash, though - that algae is looking vile now.
Benin
What I love about Nemesis is how at 9am it provides an extremely intense experience, even when it was rather cold... Then it warms up and gets even better... She's getting rattly, but she's still smoother than rides 15 years younger... Mark9
What I love most about Nemesis is that the ride itself doesn't look almost 20 years old. The theming is one thing but the track and trains themselves are timeless. Vekoma and Arrow rides 10 years younger look ancient.
AstroDan
Nemesis remains one of the best operated rollercoasters in the world. It's always on 2 trains, always run well and nearly always delivers.
Daytripper
After being to three theme parks in one week, I can safely say that Nemesis was one of the best rides of them all & still is one of my personal favourites! You could easily go on a few times & not get bored of it. Nemesis Inferno was good.. but was not as awesomely themed as the original. Definitely one of the best coasters. I'm not surprised it is still ranked quite high in the World. In the US, I agree with the comment about the majority of coasters being built on concrete - "car park coasters" the fact that Nemesis is in a relatively small space (compared to most coasters) & still gives you a thrill shows that it was designed brilliantly! It is also worth pointing out that it is also a 'comfortable ride' which in mu opinion is very important. In Blackpool for example 'Infusion' is quite a rough ride, whacking your brain around your skull.. still a great coaster, but not as smooth a ride as Nemesis. RideAddict
The recent pictures from above posted by TowersTimes really do show how well the station is themed and was really thought through. The "ribs" roof is not often seen by many, especially the naked eye - shame. Coaster
Yay! We were appauled when we visited in Easter and it was running clear. And it looks like it's actually red now rather than pink, judging by that photo
Fred
It's pink now, that photo was taken literally as the dye was put in. Let's see if they make it red..
Kerfuffle
Last time I went on Nemesis, one of the trains must have something wrong with the wheels cos the experience was slightly bumpy. Not that it's the track or anything, because I went on it a second time and the experience was smooth again. Must be only one of the trains, thankfully... Coaster
Just a quick question, did they ever play the Nemesis Story in the queueline? (This one)
Whiteknuckle
Never heard Tom Baker in the queueline, but the instrumental score that plays when he is telling the legend does play in the queue. Might have changed though, as I only really use the SRQ so can't really hear it.
Matt 236
When I was there Sunday, they played the ride theme in the queue. I don't think towers ever used the story audio in the queue. That said, my first visit to Towers was only last year so who knows.
pluk
I'm very sure I remember there being some sort of spoken narrative in the queue line long long ago, in its first few years, but if it was actually that I'd have no idea. Would make sense if it was.
