A-Kid
Saw only really gets its atmosphere from its audio Without it loud it doesn't work at all. I remember on the first few days, hearing Jigsaw from the carpark! Now you can barely hear it from inside the building!
themeparkmad
Know any specific reason?I thinking it was becuase the speakers used for Saw could not handle it at that volume. This I think caused the speakers to crackle.Hense why they have been turned down.I am sure if this is wrong, someone will correct me! James
It's a volume issue, bstards >_>
Welsh Boy
I think that they should just get a new speaker system for it... I want to be able to hear it... I do like the police radio thats audible throughout the line....

Welsh Boy
One of the stupidest quotes from that radio:"If you see anything suspicious, treat it as suspicious" Ahh, but if anything is suspicious, your bound to check it out...Me thinks thats the logic behind the quote...But still, I agree... I would have probably thought that Thorpe Park do not have the money to invest in new speakers for SAW: The Ride. However, it would be nice. Johnny07
Erm guys, the speakers a new (I expect). It's not as much as a problem with the speakers, just the fact that they are turned down.
Dan9
Merlin is a mutli-billion pound company. I get the feeling it isn't to do with money..
themeparkmad
Merlin is a mutli-billion pound company. I get the feeling it isn't to do with money..But think about the amount of parks they have and how much rides cost. You have got... (off the top of my head)+Plans for a hotel at Thorpe.+SAW: The Ride: New for 2009.+Added attractions at Chessington.+New coaster coming to Alton Towers.+Laiser Raiders at Legoland. It can all add up!Even though they are a multi-billion pound company. They still have to make plans for the future as well as other things like orders brought in, paying staff and future Rides and Attractions as well as audio for the rides. themeparkmad
I would imagine they cost a lotLook at roller coasters such as Nemesis Inferno, Colossus and Stealth costing approx 10-12 million!
Kevin
Merlin is a mutli-billion pound company. I get the feeling it isn't to do with money..So? The ride was budgeted, it went over budget, hence why no proper speaker system, no bridge below Colossus inlines and other small things which were cut out from the project. Theme Park bloke
Saw's final cost was £13.5m wasn't it? What was it meant to be?Also, apologies in advance if this has been asked already, but is there a download for the entire queueline audio, with all the announcements that keep popping up? I've heard it's about a 3-hour-long loop. Even if it's a couple of tracks, is it available anywhere please?

James
It's 90 minutes but its a 2 minute track looped over and over with voiceovers added in. And it doesn't particularly sound very interesting.
