Paul
I just came across this very clear POV of Tidal Wave. It's really good, and you get to see the splash from an on-ride perspective without the camera lens becoming covered by water.
James6
Great find, your right that is a fantastic POV. Must have been taken before 2003 though as I couldn't quite make out Nemesis Inferno
TimR
I don't go on Tidal Wave anymore, as the only time I would ever go on it is when its very hot, and then it has over a 60min queue, and I don't see the point.
Theme Park bloke
Me too - I've made myself a new rule that I'll take a pair of swimming trunks to change into, and an old crappy shirt. Then I can get as wet as I like without worrying.

Theme Park bloke
Might be easier to purchase a poncho? I have had mine for over 2 years and it still does the job nicely! I am not spending £5 on a piece of plastic to shove over me, only to look like a right retard, when I can change into my own clothes for at no cost! I am Theme Park bloke, I am brave and do things properly.
Ricky
Buying a poncho for £5 could easily buy you the same thing but with about 50 of them! There called bin bags, I would prefer taking them then buying a poncho!
Theme Park bloke
Let me make things clearer - I am wearing no plastic covering or bin liners on water rides!

Whiteknuckle
I would rather get wet myself. I don't see the point of people going on rides like Tidal Wave wearing these things. Why go on it if you don't want to get wet?Sorry if this offends anyone here, just my personal opinion.

rossafc
I completly agree, if you don't want to get wet, then why would you go on the ride!
Paul
I do agree, and I always go on the rides to get soaked! But I can see where some people are coming from. In the case of Tidal Wave, some people may love the thrill and feeling of the drop, but may not want to get soaked. It's the same with something like Rumba. If there is a family that wants a nice, quiet relaxing ride, but don't want to get soaked to their skin, then they may want to spend money covering up. Paul
Even if you wear a poncho, you won't stay completely dry. Tidal Wave is such a wet ride, that no matter what you use or how much of it you use to cover yourself up, you will still get wet.

Here's a guy who understands me.People go so over-the-top about getting wet. Don't they know what happens when they step into a bath or shower? Matty
Tidal Wave is on Thorpe Park unavailable list. (I actually found out on the thorpe park mania site first lol). Comment on why it is unavailable.
themeparkmad
You must be mad to ride Tidal Wave in this weather anyways!Unless I am provided with a poncho :blink:Tidal Wave has had good reliability this season, so hopefully it will be back up and running soon for all you mad people, that want to get drenched, when it is freezing!
