RideAddict
I find that when you are trimming down the text on a quote, the best thing to do is use the backspace key, not the delete key. For some bizarre reason it seems to make a difference. If you're trimming down the text on a quote and highlighting all the words backwards (or top to bottom) then leave the first word unhighlighted and press backspace, not delete. The text stays in the box and doesn't jump out. As much as the editing system is very good I still prefer the old-fashioned code. I am writing this on an iPad and by default it sets to the old code mode.
JoshC.
Just a quick question - are Thorpe still going to respond to questions sent in on the Questions to Thorpe Park subforum / will they be in the future? Also, a quick suggestion - can the names of this topic and the other Feedback topic be altered, maybe to 'Feedback of the Forums' and 'Feedback of the Site'? Just a bit confusing! RideAddict
Sometimes, I find that all of the available smilies in the pop-up window are not permitted on this forum. Unsure why.
Benin
I've noticed that a lot of older topics (trip reports mainly) seem to have lost their links to photos, there a reason behind this? Is it fixable (as the photos in question still exist)?
pluk
Tis mostly photobucket upgrading and moving the links as they do so. The authors will have to go through and edit their posts with the new links, I have with a couple of my old posts. Photobucket 'upgrade' sucks. Marc
A few people have reported this problem with facebook too, seems facebook like to mess about with URLS to annoy everyone else as well!
RideAddict
I suggested using Photobucket weeks ago, and then Ryan said using TinyPic - none of this registration malarky. Upload, enter a security code, copy and paste, job done!
Benin
I used to use TinyPic, but only for RCT related pictures... I don't think I could handle posting 100 photos onto there just for trip reports...

I don't think I could handle posting 100 photos onto there just for trip reports... Yeah TinyPic's good for one of two photos, but would be dreadful for a load. Quite annoying really if old posts are missing photos, it's always nice to look back through old topics.
RideAddict
When I'm logged out and viewing the forum, the time zone is still on GMT, yet when I'm logged in it's correct. Just saying.
RideAddict
I'd like to make a request if I may... The "Like" feature is good. But sometimes 5 a day runs out too fast. Considering how many posts are made here a day, can it be adjusted to 10?
Pickles
Don't like as many posts?

Considering how many posts are made here a day, can it be adjusted to 10? I actually agree with this. I believe it was set quite low from the days when thanks was counted and it became a bit of an unhealthy race for reputation. Now there's no need for the limit. I personally like to give thanks for posts which I agree with, are amusing, are interesting or even if someone has put a lot of effort in even if I don't actually agree with them. In a place so full of wonderful people I often don't have enough thanks to go round. Mer
RideAddict
What I don't understand is sometimes you can click like at say 11am. Then a few hours later at say 4pm it says you've reached your limit. So somewhere the daily cut-off or reset time is during the day. I've been here since 30th January at 2:30pm GMT, would that be something to do with it?

James & Co.
Hey, just been wondering, what happened to the calendar that showed people's birthdays, it was a useful tool as we could wish everyone a happy birthday Matt 236

alexander
Not sure if this has been posted about already, but is there a possibility of a feature which gives you a notification when you're quoted/mentioned? I sometimes post in threads and forget to come back to them to see I've been quoted or had a reply to my post. MarkC
JoshC.
I like the addition of people's birthdays showing up on the side; adds to the community feel all the more. Can I just suggest though that the 'Welcome....' box gets scrapped? Personally I just don't think it's needed, in general it just seems a pointless tbh. Fred
The underlining of ERT - although a non-point, it's not just Exclusive/Extended (a thorpe name).. it's classed as Early at towers init. That's all.

EC!
how do people become moderators, admin, and anything high up like that, cos I see people be moderatos then they r not not and then some new guy is , how does that system work? soz its just a curious question thats been bugging me abit lol
Marc
There are limited moderator positions, usually when one comes up we open up applications to allow members of the community the chance to apply and become a part of the team. There are no places at the moment but when there are we let everyone know
