pluk Posted November 25, 2014 Report Posted November 25, 2014 Musically it is awful. Sounds like it's been made over a pre-programmed casio keyboard demo track from about 1995, dull and soulless. Some of the vocals are pretty stunning though, especially Guy Garvey. He should have song the whole thing. He should sing everything. The message seems a bit shoehorned in too, can't put my finger on why it grates so much but we're still singing about feeding when the problem is Ebola. It's a right old mish mash and stops making any sense somewhere along. "Well tonight we're reaching out and touching you", but if you don't mind I'll be wearing gloves. Kerfuffle 1 Quote
Luke_A Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Will 'Rather Be' ever get old? Don't think so. This is undoubtedly my jam right now & it goes off 100% in clubs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQxoLO8SmQM pluk 1 Quote
pognoi Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 Nice Luke! Sick tune, not normally into that kinda scene but that song is not bad. rediscovering some of my old fave artists. Still at it which is great! Quote
GladiatorFanKyle Posted December 12, 2014 Report Posted December 12, 2014 I know a lot of you don't know kpop or just don't like it but this is an awesome remix! Got a really sick beat! Reminds me of Danter's AIR! Quote

pluk Posted December 23, 2014 Report Posted December 23, 2014 There was a brilliant documentary about them on Radio 1 about a week ago that's well worth a listen if it's still on iplayer. Played a fascinating selection of clips of my favourite track of theirs at various stages of development, great to hear how the it progressed and developed into this beauty... Quote

Matt 236 Posted January 21, 2015 Report Posted January 21, 2015 Always loved the Pirates theme, but this guy does the best ever piano arrangement of the piece. Literally trying to learn to play it like this right now, and it sure isn't easy. Kerfuffle and JamminGamer 2 Quote

Kerfuffle Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 Just thought of a major difference between Oasis and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds: While Oasis in many of their songs are just "Electric guitar...electric guitar...electric guitar...DRUMS!!!", NGHFB take a much broader musical advantage, using more instruments than just electric guitar and drums. This is a reason why I'm a huge fan of this song: Quote
kinnaird Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 http://stagedoor.fm/2015/02/04/leeds-reading-2015-full-line-leaked/I think its real if so <3 Quote
MachoMachine Posted February 9, 2015 Report Posted February 9, 2015 A guy on the eFestivals forum made that and it just got spread round, it's the ideal lineup he wants but I wouldn't be surprised if the majority played that! (Especially seeing Knife Party already accidentally confirmed they should be playing) Quote
