October 3, 201410 yr comment_193688 Maybe they're creating a walk through science thing/dark ride where Wind in the Willows was to do with this CritterCreek thing? And retheming (or theming in the first place) Stinger to something as the Paultons Park website says it is closed for the remainder of the season until Easter next year. Remember professor Stanley H Blast like roller coasters according to the site thing about CritterCreek. The Diary by him has also been updated a few times in the past month. https://paultonspark.co.uk/education/professor-blasts-diary Would be great if Paultons could create a themed experience around this! And once again, use the success of Peppa Pig to develop there own creations! I look forward to seeing what this develops into!
October 3, 201410 yr comment_193730 Hope it doesn't turn into some sort of Bubbleworks-esque "clever" queuing space. I've faith in Percy though...
November 28, 201410 yr Author comment_198210 The Stinger has been completey re-painted with dark green track and light bold green supports. Wind in the Willows building is being kitted out inside. I should imagine a lot more will happen after Christmas leading up to it's official opening.
November 28, 201410 yr comment_198221 Wind in the Willows building is being kitted out inside. Oooh, with? Is this bringing an indoor queue experience as as part of Stinger, or will what's in the building be a separate attraction? I thought the old Wind in the Willows thing was quite charming, shame to see it go but I suppose it was a bit dated.
November 28, 201410 yr Author comment_198231 At this present time I can't say but can confirm it won't be part of "The Stinger" but will be included in Critter Creek.
November 28, 201410 yr comment_198232 Sounds as if Critter Creek will be an area then! Professor H Stanley Blast liking roller coasters is obviously going to link to the retheme of Stinger (and the colours sound like they'll work well together from what you've described Rich). Maybe Wind in the willows will become an interactive creepy cave sort of thing? Either way it's great to see the park continuing to grow and improve from the success of a pig! Paultons is in my eyes the best park in this country to have used an IP well and added to the park in different ways since! Just love Paultons!
November 30, 201410 yr comment_198344 Looking at their FB page, there are pics of 'critters' appearing. Looks interesting! (soz, don't know how to post pics)
December 7, 201410 yr comment_198666 Latest diary is up! https://paultonspark.co.uk/education/professor-blasts-diary/2014/12/566/an-amazing-discovery One of the larger creatures is the Cat-o-Pillar. He happily takes me for rides upon his back all around the island, purring happily as we go. Could this possibly be relating to The Stinger? Would seem so. Also it would seem that the Rio Grande train might be involved in this development Stinger in the background, the house thing could be Professor Blasts place replacing the Wind in the Willows and then the train. Exciting times!
December 7, 201410 yr Author comment_198676 It will be an excellent addition and I'm sure there will be lots more developments and things released soon regarding this area :-)
December 18, 201410 yr Author comment_199248 Here is the new release from the park regarding Critter Creek next year! https://paultonspark.co.uk/blog/2014/12/545/paultons-park-2015-whats-new
December 18, 201410 yr comment_199250 Nice to see that they aren't advertising the coaster as brand new - take note Chessington! Although Stinger was a much better name than Cat-O-Pillar.
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200728 If ParkWorld is correct (and we have little reason to not believe such a thing), Paultons might well be getting a new custom Vekoma Junior Boomerang for this season! http://content.yudu.com/A3bkd6/PWDecJan2015/resources/index.htm?referrerUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.parkworld-online.com%2F Image/Reference on Page 24
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200735 Really? I thought they were just repainting The Stinger. And would that mean removal of The Stinger?
January 12, 201510 yr Author comment_200742 The Stinger is staying as part of Critter Creek, the new coaster will be for 2016!
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200746 Ah good, The Stinger was one of my childhood coasters so I would be sad to see it go. Good to hear that they are investing in another coaster, shame it's not wooden though!
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200749 Might have to pay a visit or two then this year to keep an eye on construction. Still haven't ridden magma yet either.
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200759 That's fantastic, great to see them bringing something new for the slightly bigger kids (like me!) again. Such a good park.
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200761 Ben 10 at Drayton is such a neat little ride and a ride like that seems to be a ride that would suit Paultons perfectly. Hope to make it to the park this year, and no doubt a Junior Boomerang would pull me back for 2016.
January 12, 201510 yr comment_200783 Paultons is another Patk I need to add to my list. Very pleased they're still continuing to invest and improve the park.
January 13, 201510 yr comment_200813 Mini-site confirming it's for next year... https://paultonspark.co.uk/lost-kingdom/
January 13, 201510 yr comment_200829 The dinosaur walk through needs serious work anyway. It's not great so to see them reviving it (well you'd assume that's where it's going) is great! A new coaster between the level of Stinger and Cobra is nice to keep luring in the slightly older generation with Critter Creek this year clearly aiming for the youngsters. This is how an IP should improve a park! Great to see Paultons continuing with creative ideas and strong investment for an independently ran park, this places future should be excellent!

The new addition isn't going to be an IP... However, it can be said that Peppa Pig is clearly the source of Paulton's recent success, which goes to show that one done RIGHT can certainly make a lot of difference to a smaller park...
