Matt 236
Very excited for this, should be a good move by the patk. Another reason why 2016 could be a good year for new uk rides.
Matt 236
Double Post (shoot me!) Coaster force are reporting that not one, but two rollercoasters will be coming to the park in 2016 (in addition to a new food outlet, meet and greets & lots of theming apparently). Family theme park Paultons Park are set to spend £8m on a new heavily themed scheduled to open Easter 2016. The new four acre area - The Lost Kingdom - will be situated between the gardens and the Magama ride. Themed to dinosauars, the new area will contain several attractions and include animatraonic dinosaurs, character meet-and-greets and food outlets. The thrill seeker highlight of The Lost Kingdom will be not one but TWO new custom rollercoasters. Raptor is a Family Boomerang coaster. Flight of the Pterosaur is Suspended Family Coaster also from Vekoma. Both coasters will be heavily themed with tunnels and foot/headchoppers. This new land compliments the popular Peppa Pig World and the new-for-2015 Critter's Creek area which features a remodelled rollercoaster, a new track ride and an animal walkthrough. When The Lost Kingdom opens in 2016, it will be the first UK theme park in 24 years to open two brand new coasters in the same year.. EC!
Article from Coasterforce from information they have gotten!! This will really put Paultons on the map if they weren't already on it!!! Finally a family park that is not Merlin that is striving ahead to be an amazing family destination! Perfect for Paultons, perfect for us haha! Cal, pognoi, Matt 236 and 2 others
Tom
Sad that the suspended coaster doesn't have the ridiculous turnaround ala Orkanen JoshC., Cal and pognoi
Coaster
This is fantastic, I will definitely be making a return to Paulton's Park in 2016 if this turns out to be the case! Good on them, they are a perfect example of how a family park should be done. They do need a dark ride though. Cal
EC!
The top coaster is a clone, here is a POV of it Still doesn't make this news any less great as 2 coasters in 1 year is just sick! Whiteknuckle
Matt 236
Finally a park, that may be scratching Merlin's (faded) paintwork. I think 2016 will be the most exciting year for new rides in the UK for a while.
Benin
Excellent choices from Paultons, one solid family coaster, and an unique one in a way for the south... More coasters than Chessie and Legoland with these too...
Mitchada04
With a decent amount of theming (which Paultons are pretty good at although a bit bizarre in the case of Magma) and these 2 coasters will be brilliant! The suspended is a decent layout, throw in some foot choppers and it can be really good! The boomerang, at least it's a different layout and again could be quite nicely themed! Woop go Paultons! Cal, Altitude and EC!
Altitude
Hopefully they get planning permission before they start building this time haha EC! and JoshC.
holtjammy16
Great news! Makes me wonder if Paultons might be adding more thrilling rides in the future for older family members.. If they have enough space?
Benin
Would appear that the layout in the image of the SFC is a clone of Kvasten at Grona Lund... A very good solid family coaster it is too, a suitable choice for the park...
Mark9
Oh yes! Good on Paultons, it's such a quality park with real time and effort put into their attractions. These rides deserve to be successful. Count me in for a 2016 visit Cal

pluk
That train looks great! This is how you re-theme!
Matt 236
Really liking the look of this area so fat, can't wait to see all of it when it opens.
Benin
Few more pics off gunmonkey on Coasterforce: Certainly a very colourful addition, and it does look quite nice and peculiar... Kids will no doubt love it... lewumbrajumbos
Project LC
What a lovely looking investment. The first kiddie coaster I've seen in a while where I am actually impressed with what they have done.
Matt 236
The theming looks loverly. For a park of paulton's size and position I would say this is on a par if not slightly better than most of Merlin's theming additions. MachoMachine
Haven't been there since I was small, not too far away from me, will have to go soon! looks lovely
Benin
Again from gunmonkey, there's a poster promoting next year's additions: Thankfully, we aren't actually getting an SLC, regardless of the poster's opinion on the matter... Mark9
Wonderful stuff. I love Paultons anyway, definitely going to be the park to watch in 2016. I'm looking forward to it.
Coaster
Now that's how you theme an area!
Flipper
This just looks incredible; and I really do hope Critter Creek does them well, as it's only really a re-theme of the Stinger; Beastie Burrows is a new attraction using the existing Wind in the Willows (what an incredible change to frontage), and the Expedition Express is a new ride. Makes me miss working there seeing how incredible they've changed that area. Seriously looking forward to Lost Kingdom, as I honestly feel it's going to really bump them up the table with the rides going into it (I mean, two new coasters yay!). And if the re-theme is anything to go by, LK should be mind blowing. Han30
