Ricky Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 You can't really go round saying THORPE aren't going to be doing stuff like getting new rides, they might work out differently to Tussaud's and might prefer to keep there plans to a minimal from the public. But I doubt a new ride will pop up. Quote
themeparkmad Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 Nemesis Inferno's queue line is probably the fastest for me which makes me enjoy the ride more!Even with a long queue, I always feel like I am moving and getting somewhere. (Unless a breakdown obviously! ) Quote
rossafc Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Yeah, I also find the Nemesis Inferno queue fast moving, its a ride I dont actually mind queueing for because of that. Quote
Ricky Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 And she's down! Something to do with brakes, I'm not too sure it will be reopening tomorow as it was shut from 2:30 today. Quote
A-Kid Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Poor Inferno!! Can't complain though. Lives up to a typical Beemer, being great with reliability... Quote
themeparkmad Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 I agree that it is a shame to see Nemesis Inferno unavailable.Hopefully it will be back in operation shortly blasting riders through the depths of the volcano! Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 To be honest, I have given up on the effects at THORPE PARK.You must be kidding? The year Thorpe finally gets them sorted, you give up? And she's down! Something to do with brakes, I'm not too sure it will be reopening tomorow as it was shut from 2:30 today.Brakes? They do get a lot of use, they're so powerful. Sometimes I jump out of my seat slightly into the restraint, as it brakes. Quote
themeparkmad Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 You must be kidding? The year Thorpe finally gets them sorted, you give up? :PBrakes? They do get a lot of use, they're so powerful. Sometimes I jump out of my seat slightly into the restraint, as it brakes. The reason why I said I gave up on the effects was that usually when they are working, they usually stop within a few days. Quote
TimR Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Shame about Nemesis Inferno, its such a reliable ride, I'm sure Thorpe's mechanics are working hard to get it up and running for us. Quote
Daniel Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Here are some pictures I took of Nemesis Inferno yesterday: Quote
Mark9 Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 (inside source) It's not Inferno's fault its the operator's. Well my source says the operator emergency stopped the ride in an awkward position which then messed the metal block up.It's hardly the operators fault then. If they prevented some kind of accident or something out of the ordinary then that's more important then if the breaks were messed up. Quote
A-Kid Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Here are some pictures I took of Nemesis Inferno yesterday:It sat like that on tuesday too, just before I got on it at park opening. That position is normal though if the first train hasn't been a advanced into the station. Or though I find it strange that it was just left like that with guests on. Quote
Rocket Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 It sat like that on tuesday too, just before I got on it at park opening. That position is normal though if the first train hasn't been a advanced into the station. Or though I find it strange that it was just left like that with guests on.if you look carefully at the first pic then youll notice the first train hasnt gone into the station therefore the second train cannot procede any further.it maybe the first train broken, both, the station or maybe just the ride.and in response-I was there and where that train was stopped the back row had no floor beneath it meaning there was no way to evac.the had to get a temperary floor place before any evacs happend. Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Maybe it's the floor that's playing up? Has that ever gone wrong? If the floor electric or hydraulically powered? And does the bar at the front lower with it, or is that a seperate source of power to lower that? They should put a sign on that bar with an intense message to read, just before you set off! Quote
A-Kid Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Well going by Raptor, of which the mechinism isn't covered (you can see it in the queue), its one motor and a load of metal semi-circle shaped things that rotate it and the bar at the front, all as one. Quote
Theme Park bloke Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 A sort-of cog mechanism then? Quote
Lewie900 Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I think being stuck on Nemesis like that could be quite fun XD Quote
themeparkmad Posted August 15, 2009 Author Report Posted August 15, 2009 I think being stuck on Nemesis like that could be quite fun XDWould certainally be different to what we are used to on Nemesis Inferno! :PThen again, I would rather have the ride functioning 100% correctly so guests can enjoy a ride or rides on Nemesis Inferno! themeparkmad Posted August 15, 2009 Author Report Posted August 15, 2009 Nemesis Inferno is great, sad to see that it is having problems, is it functioning correctly yet?I have not heard anything about Nemesis Inferno from people I know that visit alot. Also, THORPE PARK's website don't state it as unavailable so I am assuming that Nemesis Inferno is functioning correctly, yes. Quote
themeparkmad Posted August 20, 2009 Author Report Posted August 20, 2009 My next THORPE PARK trip will be on the TPM meet up and I can't wait to ride Nemesis Inferno (aswell as Colossus ) as I did not get to ride it much on my last visit. :PTake it all the problems that were occuring on Nemesis Inferno have been fixed by now! Ricky Posted August 30, 2009 Report Posted August 30, 2009 It made me choke a bit near the middle it was that thick! Quote
rossafc Posted August 31, 2009 Report Posted August 31, 2009 The mist yesterday was incredible! It was pouring out of the tunnel! Quote
