Deleted Users
I should have bought a 'Ich überlebte Colossos' medal. Tom

CharlieN
What!? Well, if that is true I assume that Ripsaw will just be used as spare parts for Heide's top spin: Aqua Spin.

Matt 236
I think they made the right choice. An inflatable upcharge attraction is clearly tonnes better than a hefty support flat ride, even if it was on its last legs.
JoshC.
https://www.heide-park.de/ghostbusters.html Heide Park are getting a Ghostbusters '5D dark ride' next year. Sounds potentially like the same ride system as Ninjago at the Legoland parks. Will be interesting to see how it's received. Benin
Well that's a big "made of whyyyyyyyyy?" now isn't it? It's a shame since they could do well... ANYTHING with the theme (especially adventure) of a dark ride...
Charles Parry
Announced today this will be getting a 5D interactive dark ride based around the Ghostbusters IP! Being built by Triotech. CharlieN
Could someone explain 5D to me? Is it actually different to 4D or is it just some marketing gimmick?
Benin
It's marketing guff, besides it just shows how far behind the curve Merlin are when 7D is so prevalent in Asia... CharlieN
JoshC.
Isn't 5D basically just 4D but with a physically moving transit system? So still meaningless marketing dribble in one sense, but I guess you could argue 5D is a legitimate thing... CharlieN

JoshC.
According to the park's Facebook, Colossos will be closed for the 2017 season because they work required is more expensive and takes longer than initially expected. Sad times.

Matt 236
Sad times, it looked an acceptable coaster amongst being the only one in a Merlin park currently. I'm curious as to why the ride has been SBNO so long and needs so much excessive work? Surely it must be structural if it's this bad. Guess thats Heide park off the list for now. Obviously I know you comment was in jest but... To be fair to them there are some serious structural issues going on with that ride and seems they realised it's more than what they initially expected. As well as the money aspect of it, it's kind of an unexpected issue that's popped up and clearly more than there maintenance budget. It wouldn't have been an issue they would have taken lightly. JoshC.
Heide Park opened for the 2017 season yesterday, and Ghostbusters 5D was meant to open along with the park. On Thursday the park announced over Facebook it wasn't ready and would as soon as possible. So, Heide Park, who you gonna call?
Matt 236
Hint- not Ghost Busters.

Mysterio Ka
The park is removing a vast amount of rides this year, and the current rumour is including, apparently, colossos. Which sucks. Silly people!
Mega-Lite
I'd love to state I'd never make my first visit to the park if they ever dream of removing Colossos, but who am I kidding I'd still want the other creds! Would be a shame to not be able to get the Intamin woody collection though, owing to the fact I have T Express and that's probably the rarest. The only slightly sliver lining if it closes would be my friend tells me it wasn't all that great anyway, though that may have been a sign of it's decline into closure... Benin
It really wasn't that great, last time I rode it it bounced around a few parts as well... I think there's a lack of soul to the Intamin prefabs as well, over engineering removing some of the charm and flaws that wooden coasters work well on... I'm so non plussed at the idea of Colossos being spited...
