Benin
Maybe they'll just have it so any kids sit in the middle, hence adults will be in the way of any attempting to be thrown out of the truck... Like the Black Buccaneer system they have... Doesn't make sense though yes...
Fred
Doesn't make sense. But it's good. Don't complain. Have enough rides having rising height restrictions, the lower the better.
Coaster
Much better idea than fumbling around with those seatbelts!
Deleted Users
And Kilimanjaro Safaris gets away with no height restriction at all. Bubbles1 and Tom
c1hrisin
This ride is good, but the plastic seats and extremely bumpy ground end up breaking your back :/ Despite how good I found the overall ride the lack of animals was abysmal. I know you could argue that in a real safari there wouldn't be that many animals but I counted about 15 throughout the whole ride. The main part we spent out time in was the enclosure with the Giraffes and Zebras which were having such a fierce fight they were pushing each other into the track at one point. Tom
15 animals sounds like a lot for a 3 minute ride. And I'd be glad the animals were doing something? You expect the animals to behave like they're still in their natural habitat! Ryan
Merry-go-girl
Yeah considering when you drive through Whipsnade's Passage Through Asia all you'll see are three herds of deer things Zufari sounds positively thrilling.
c1hrisin
Haha, I did make that sound like a lot. From what I can remember, 2 Giraffes, 2 Zebras, 1 Rhino, 4 Gazelles, and about 6 Flamingos
Coaster
I actually thought that Zufari was quite good today - when I rode it in April there were hardly any animals at all! c1hrisin
Coaster
Well that's a bit rubbish. The cave's finale is broken already - no water falls were working at all (including the one at the exit). Cost cutting or Merlin maintenance being pants? Matt 236
I'd easily say its both and just like too much of the park will now remain a shadow of its former glory. Lets hope they sort it but they ay not, for 2013 at least anyway when the park closes in <2 months and won't have zoo days til Christmas. Lets hope they sort it but they ay not, for 2013 at least anyway when the park closes in <2 months and won't have zoo days til Christmas. It's a real shame though because Zufari is new this year so you would think they would make an effort! With that being said, it wasn't the only broken effect I spotted today - Tomb Blaster's boulder was stuck at the bottom of the hill... Benin
That's ALWAYS happening on Tomb... Like, at least once a year... Or stuck halfway down it... God this park needs some serious investment and care...
Doc
Waterfalls, falling boulders? Why have I never seen or heard of any of this before?! Here was me thinking I experienced everything at Chessington. Time to make a return trip...
BigBobJones
Have you shaken hands with a Sealion at Chessington?
Sheepie
Zufari's waterfall will be fixed. It's not a cost cutting measure.
pluk
...and the new method of pre-show and lapbars on Zufari improves the loading situation greatly... Shame that the pre-show is still awful mind... What have the done to the pre-show?
MarkC
The pre show no longer has a man speaking in the big screen, it skips straight to the animal thingy. There is also a host in there with you who points to the people to do the moves and also he introduces the experience:)
Adam P
The pre-show was the same as previous on Wednesday... Has it just changed?
SteveJ
Ha. But I'd rather they got rid of Gozy than Chase Van Driver! Coaster, BigBobJones and dragon2000
Benin
Precisely the host... I hadn't been for several months so to me it was a change... People don't update on Chessie that much anyway... No one had mentioned the tarp of trees hiding Mine Train from Jumbos...
pluk
So the actual presentation is a bit better, but the queue line is still a mess of confusion around that building? It's a start I suppose.
Benin
Of course, did you really expect that they would have solved that issue?
BigBobJones
If anything, I would prefer they removed the seats and had it as a walk through indoor queue with Chase Van Driver on the screen telling you more about Zufari. I always try to walk straight through the pre show if I can as I can't stand the Gozy bit, ok the first time, but gets painful the more often you do it. swooddow
they need to look at disney closly , disney work on the story of an attractio right throught queueing to the exit. Altho merlin may not have a mega budget they can at least improve the cave section, make it longer , have more effects , have some more themed sections about the villigers and local people warning you , not live actors , just maybe some sets with detailed themeing and a few effects in , this could seriously boost the attraction ! , at the moment, its a half finished , weaker version of Kilimanjaro Safaris, I think they should also have an animal expert on board instead of a voice over. I also just thought of what they could do for the hotel. They could have ( like disney's animal kingdom lodge does) a early morning trip on zufari , when the animals are fresh and about ( as the morning is there most active time) then you could have breakfest in the park. That could be a package you could either book with your hotel booking or book when u arrive for your stay. it could really work !
