I know its early but thought it would be good to keep conversation of 2025 separate. Hyperia officially opens tomorrow, ending a 12 year drought of new coasters at Thorpe. Tonight is the press launch, which means there will be plenty of reviews about. As such, for anyone who doesn't want the station interior spoiled - or doesn't want to hear people's views - we'll have this thread here. We'll keep the other thread for construction / archiving. I'll post my views on Hyperia here tonight, and look forward to reading plenty more tomorrow!

To charge for staying in your car park, you must have terms and conditions displayed every so many yards, ie signs usually attached to lamp posts. There is none of this. There is no gate of barrier when you enter, which implies you're not trespassing by being there. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Hey guys, with Hyperia opening very soon I was thinking of hiring out my boat for close accommodation, it is just opposite, about 2 minutes walk and free parking. I know how busy it's going to get and so many people will be travelling from far and wide so thought someone might be interested? Message me for me info, its lovely and has all the facilities ☺️🎢🚤🌊

With the release of the new map it’s got me reflecting of the time I worked at the park from 2009 to 2016. Personally I think the park hit its peak during 2011, the brand identity was full on and they knew exactly what they wanted it to be! They described it as ‘Johnny Knoxville’ and they went wild with it into owning that aspect. It worked, it was just insane day out. I remember that summer also being extremely hot, the park hitting capacity regularly and everyday literally being chaotic fun. As they moved away from the thrills element and wanted to go back to families even though the plan with their locations being close to one another was Legoland w…

Wasn’t sure whether to start a 2024 topic or one just for the map. In any case…. The 2024 map has been released. 2 main observations from me. One - seems strange to build the UK’s tallest coaster but opt for your map to be a 2D top-down view meaning you don’t see the height of the new ride. Two - they’ve very clearly put defined areas back on the map again here, but haven’t put area names on. This seems really weird?! Either commit to the themed areas or don’t have any at all. I think it makes the layout confusing as to the average guest there’s no rhyme or reason why certain rides and shops are grouped together. In any case, Sa…

We perhaps all have a habitual awareness of our personal items when on rides, and everybody is encouraged to secure loose items. Yesterday whilst on a ride, yes it was Stealth, a twelve year old girl was injured by being struck by a mobile phone. She was on the front row, the loser of the phone was in row eight. That phone, allegedly, was in a teenagers zipped pocket. As we on this site, all understand that on the brake hill, the severe braking induces an opposite effect on gravity, with all loose items then being thrown forward. Sadly, the phone hit the girl on top of the head causing a cut, and I dare say, bruising, it took a while for the bleeding to stop. Being…

Hi guys. I'm sure that many members on here are seasoned visitors to Thorpe Park, and I wouldn't be surprised if some members have "gameplans", if you will, of how to best tackle the park. With this in mind, I'd be interested to know; in your view, which Thorpe Park coaster or group of coasters is best to start the day on? I only ask because I'm headed back to the park next month for my third solo day there, and I'm wondering whether to stick to my usual strategy or divvy it up. On my previous two visits, I've always found Stealth/Inferno to be a good duo to start on, as I've found that you can take a ride on both of those two as well as Detonator early on wit…

Hi guys. Thorpe Park may have arguably one of the UK’s most well-known and well-liked selections of thrill coasters, but another aspect of the park that is commonly revered is its lineup of flat rides. Thorpe’s flat ride lineup is arguably one of the most expansive and varied in the UK, or dare I say the world, with quite a plethora of thrilling flat rides on offer. There have also been some intriguing past residents within Thorpe Park’s flat ride lineup. With this in mind, I’d be interested to know; which past or present Thorpe Park flat ride is your favourite? Personally, I’m not the biggest lover of flat rides overall, and I’ve only actually done 3 of Thorp…

As Derren Brown's Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon has been rethemed, I thought it'd be a good idea to start a new thread on the new iteration just to make things easier for archival sake. Discuss away!

Give me some of your most controversial Thorpe Park opinions. I'll go first... Logger's Leap was a mediocre log flume and the only reason why people miss it is because they're afraid of change.

So, you've never ridden a coaster before, and you find yourself at Thorpe Park Resort in the heart of England. The thought of fast speeds, steep drops and loops scare you? Well, here's a list of all the coasters at Thorpe that are good to start off with. First up, we have the cult classic, The Flying Fish. It's a mini steel coaster that goes a whopping 16 mph. It is the calmest coaster at Thorpe but an og classic, getting around a 35-minute queue most weekends, occasionally going up to an hour. After you've conquered the mighty flying fish, you are ready to move onto bigger attractions. I am excluding walking dead the ride, because it is more of a…

If Wicked Witches Haunt hadn't burnt down, what do you think its future would've been? Personally, I think it would have remained in the same format but become a shooting Dard Ride like Tomb Blaster at Chessington and the closed Duel at Alton Towers. I believe Duel and Wicked Witches Haunt would have been almost identical. I feel the only diffrences would have been the facades, transit systems and vehicles. I'd like to hear what you think the lost future of Wicked Witches Haunt would have been.

Hi guys. Thorpe Park has 7 different roller coasters which are arguably a big part of what makes the park what it is today, but surprisingly, we don't appear to have a topic ranking them and discussing our favourites, so I thought I'd make one! With that in mind, my simple question to you this evening is; how would you rank Thorpe Park's coasters? Which is your favourite? I'll get the ball rolling with my list (the bold bit after each comment is my rating out of 10 compared to the other coasters I've ridden, as well as the ride's ranking within my overall count): Nemesis Inferno - This never used to be top, but I've got to say that it's grown on me a f…

For a long time I have commented on how different people are, physically, emotionally, interests and hobbies. I knew that a sister of mine was not interested in rides, roller coasters or flat, and she often wondered about my mental state. However, I did not expect that having shown her a video of Stealth, she would have to dash to the bathroom for a digestive evacuation! at least I know she will never be in my way at a theme park.

So we all know us curvy women have extra lumps and bumps that the seats aren’t so accommodating for, that’s no surprise! That in mind I thought a general discussion thread of size would be fair. I was thinking of a quick fire answers of size (measurement if you’re brave), which rides you did and did not fit on and any tips? No shaming, no nasty comments and just great general chubby gal advice! I’ll go first! Size 16 top, 18 on bottoms and fit on all the rides/test seats! I carry my weight mainly on my lower half FYI. My tip is tipping forward in your seat to try and squish your bum back and in your seat!

Hi as Old Town has closed,I would like to know what people think should happen to Rocky and what is actually happening with it. I have heard that Rocky has been sold if this is true I think a small Theme Park like Camel Creek should purchase it. Please post your theories, opinions and any rumours you have heard here.
