Hi Just to advise everyone that Thorpe park is having power issues today. There has been one power outage that appeared to take out the whole park and another blip that could have caused an issue as well but I was inside so can't tell. Hopefully the team will get it sorted but apparently they also had a power issue yesterday (got that from a shop assistant)

The Walking Dead - Living Nightmare reopens this May half term, and is advertised to be more extreme than last year, and featuring "double the number of Walkers". And who knows what other changes and surprises lie in wait? The maze opens for previews to passholders this evening, 6-10pm. Use this thread to discuss and review the maze. And of course, there will be spoilers!

Talking with my "late eightys" Aunty, when I informed her of my enthusiasm for roller coasters she loudly commented...... "What? that's worse than tattoos, don't you tell any of my friends, up to now they liked you"......................right between the eyes!

Met a chap yesterday at TP, and whilst having a brief chat he told me that "this is my last ride, I've got to catch my flight." Yup, he flew over from Dublin to visit TP for the day.

Tonight is the Media Preview Event for The Walking Dead - The Ride, ahead of Saturday's official opening. Spoilers will no doubt appear sooner or later, so please post them here! If anyone knows anything or has any photo updates from the current closed season you can post It all here. What if anything do you think will happen to Old Town or the second hand Waymouth Sealife Rides that arrived for the start of last season. Post anything closed season related on this thread!

Can I take this opportunity to thank all those staff members who made my visits so good this year. The ride operators, the engineers and the cleaning staff, who all dealt with me and those within earshot so tactfully and patiently. Staff and even some managers whom I saw rush to assist to tidy up the mess that some unwell riders left. Whatever you all do in the future, this should have been a good experience to meet and deal with such a wide range of people from all walks of life. The staff should feel chuffed if their "customers" left with a smile, you've done your bit to make somebody's day, well done.

So basically on thorpe park's end of season video for the 2017 season they put the words "see you in the safe zone" at the end of the video and the website now says "coming soon for 2018" and it makes me wonder what it all means. Does anyone have any idea's?

Hi everyone I really need your help. I am looking for a ticket for Thorpe park fright night for the 4th November 2017 which is for just nhs staff. I have looked everywhere and I can't find one for sale and they have sold out online. If anyone is unable to go or knows someone that is selling a ticket could you please get in touch with me as soon as possible as I would really appreciate it. Many thanks.

Not sure if this is the right forum because it's just a suggestion - but thought I'd highly recommend Hansa Park for a TP trip, which I visited last weekend! It's fantastic and really hospitable to groups (CEO greetings/goodies/ERT) AND discounted entry! The Park is very deceptive in how much there is to do.....there's LOADS - definitely a two-dayer - and some TOP rides you want to do again and again! I also think its great for groups - because you've got all these side attractions to play on and be silly on to have a laugh for example - free high-ropes courses (no uncharge). Any extra payment is annoying but if one only pops into TP for a few hours, which I know quite a few people do, they have to now pay the extra for FN days. TP/Merlin have increased the "event" days and reduced the open days in between this year and especially in the last month. This is really annoying as if one only wants to ride, it costs £15 a day extra. I doubt I am the only one who is annoyed by this. I do know one person who went there every day, but never rode anything.

I'm currently planning a trip which is open to all! The date has not been confirmed but will be either sometime this week or next week dependant on interest. This is intended to be a weekday visit. I need to collect my anual pass on the morning so I will be there early. A meet point will be organised shortly. I have made a group chat on Twitter as it's easy for everyone to communicate on. I hope the park take serious action against them. Its one thing to break into the park let alone to try and climb one of the uks tallest roller coasters.

I think it will be nice to get a cup before I leave. I wonder if you will be able to get MAP discount here?
