Don't queue for this attraction. Avoid it at all costs. It is complete garbage now. The staff don't care, the VR is broken and it still breaks down. The group I went with still complain to me how bad it was when I persuaded them to go on it. Last time I ever step foot on that ride!

Well, about to leave Alton Towers having been on The Smiler, Nemesis and Rita. Absolutely buzzing, only coaster I didnt get on was Oblivion down to time (although my friend and mum did, and I probably would have if it wasnt for my sister whod done about 2 rides and wanted to go on Wicker Man). Nemesis was probably the best, Smiler 2nd and Rita ranks pretty low in my top 10. Had three goes on Nemesis in the end, Ill post a bit more when I get home and have an actual keyboard.

I hate Rita personally - that first turn smacks my head quite bad. Seriously get on Nemesis (try for front or towards the front) you’ll be fine I promise!

Thorpe Parks last facebook post says "This weekend is your last opportunity to experience Love Island Lates" so Big Top can be build after Love Island.Maybe there is still hope?

Sorry for the double post, but I just got off Rita. Honestly despite biting half my lip off in the air gates, apart from the launch it wasnt all that. Rate WM, 13, DF and Galactica over it tbh. How do the other rides compare? Is it a "done Rita now you can do _____" situation?

With two of you new to the group it is a perfect opportunity. If its any help I actually only joined the group at the start of the 2017 season due to being too nervous to go on previous visits! Within 5 mins I was fine and enjoying myself. Now I'm running trips! It's madness. I've made some great friends who all share similar interests.

Ok... I am not usually the optimistic type... however today is turning out to be a great day! Is there not any chance guys that Thorpe just want to get LIL out of the way before they start construction? Last day is September 1st.. they crack on with setting up the next event after that w&nk is finally over and done with; opposed to trying to organise two events at the same time? Think of the resource costs! Also, isn't there more closed dates this September compared to last year.. meaning they can work around the clock to turn this all around in time? Again, only a suggestion.. let the rampage commence

Just imagine the reaction if Big Top goes, but Sanctum stays again for this year...... only to push forward the park's partnership with AMC, nothing else. ?

I don’t think Sanctum is going anywhere anytime soon despite being a bit of a flop. Possibly they’ll add some more smoke machines and blood soaked rags... Hopefully theyll announce the lineup shortly!

Big Top going (if indeed it is going) really is Thorpe shooting themself in the foot. It has easily been the best maze over the last two years of fright nights (that’s not saying a lot really given I find the other mazes ok at best) aswell as being the only maze in the events history that I would put up there with The Freezer/Asylum. A massive shame if it’s going and vindication to me in my decision to skip the event this year.
