Thanks to Chessington Buzz for the recorded POV. Wonder if they had permission?

    Tomb Blaster

If you have to say that, it usually means it is a biased opinion... Also how in earth you can use a 12 second video of mostly pitch black to judge the quality of the ride's upgrades is beyond me.

    Tomb Blaster

This is a completely unbiased opinion, but the music change is fully welcome. I know that we have all grown to love the original theme music, and it holds many memories for us all. But the time has definitely come for the ride to have new life breathed into it. Judging by the below video of this ride, the lighting and sound engineers have done an absolutely stellar job and I for one am extremely excited to get back on Tomb Blaster! https://youtu.be/FQHxO92mm-8

I think Merlin will only close the UK parks if they are told they have to - would be surprised if they did it voluntarily though I’d be happy to be proved wrong

  5. From reviews it seemed like a generally successful day for Chessington, bar the 1 hour queue for RAP, ironic do people really need these or just see them as a free fast track, same with carer passes, I wonder if people just see that as free entry nowadays. On another note I saw a post about allowing a full train of RAP users to drop queue times, is this not theoretically an operations nightmare if something went wrong, I thought you were only allowed 1 RAP holder on any ride at a time for safety and evacuation issues. Doesn't seem like these issues will go away soon now either with RAP passes being valid til the end of 2021.

Given the situation in the North Rhine-westphilia region is one of the worst in Germany, it would be foolish to expect the park to actually open on the 4th, regardless of what their website says. Part of me thinks that by being forced to close by the local government might be giving some parks some sort of protection / insurance they can claim for any financial losses. It would explain why some parks in some regions are currently set to remain open despite the inevitable closures. Assuming parks open for the 2020 main season (which they almost definitely will at some point, I'm sure), I still believe that Rookburgh will end up opening in 2020.

    The Coronavirus Thread

Ordinary influenza takes at least 7000 people each year, and that's only the UK. Stay aware, stay clean, stay safe. If they start enforcing two metre spaces in queues, that means some of us will suffer standing in the North Sea.

Whatever they do with HEX, I just hope they've left the music alone!
