  1. Enough salt on here to season all the chippies on the promenade...
  2. The writing was on the wall for ages wasn't it? Mothballed for years and the lack of 3D glasses the final nail... Sigh... EDIT - This is however my favourite piece of marketing from Merlin - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-56579148.html
  3. I wasn't sold on the ride portion until the dash under the legs, but of course they are extremely limited to what they could do what with the lack of space... Station and queueline are fantastic mind, and a single rider queue as well...
  4. I don't think anywhere in America (aside from Disney, obviously) is particularly great for throughputs, nor are they completely terrible, just... average... Six Flags have a really poor reputation but the quality varies drastically...
  5. That entire section of the park needs burning to the ground though... A quick check shows Europe only have 38 wooden coasters in operation! 1 is currently being RMC'd and there's probably 2 others with Bandit I'd be fine with seeing redone (Anaconda at Walygator and Coaster Express)... Probably be a few parks seeing what the Robin Hood conversion does but if Wildfire hasn't got the tongues wagging over here there must be a fair charge on getting it built at Vekoma... I guess though in terms of 'weird' stuff Mack, Gerst and Vekoma are likely cheaper options...
  6. Presumably few parks in Europe have thought "we MUST have one", perhaps budget, space and maintenance are major issues, and the local area is far more abundant with fantastic manufacturers who have been in the game a lot longer... We also lack lots of old woodies to butcher, so any would be built from scratch...
  7. The only really good thing about the Halloween trips is the night riding... Some great memories of 8pm Nemesis in the rain...
  8. Think I would cry if I got denied all the creds you missed cos of a power cut
  9. That mini airtime hill before the helix (on Helix) has more airtime in it than every ride at BPB...
  10. That's a difference and a half...
  11. Literally ANY B&B. Like, seriously, pick a decent rated B&B and have fun. There's HUNDREDS of them to choose from.
  12. Lol guess no-one watched the documentary last night? If you didn't, you missed very little actual insight, apart from the ride designer guy being like Willy Wonka (lol awks), Wickerman being the first ride on park to have staff in costumes and character (even more lol awks), and no mention of the unfortunate opening weekend, which you'd assume which make it at least interesting... But nope, very clean and generic, much like a typical Merlin investment... Night and day compared to Magic Factory, which at least had discussion as to why they decided to build Oblivion...
  13. Jump scare T-Rex holding cake is so adorable
  14. You can have all the policy in the world but that can never prevent idiocy... Unfortunate...
  15. I've my doubts on this, not that fond of SheiKra and Griffon, and beyond the dive in the water it doesn't do much else... Still, least it's spiting @Mark9
  16. Plohn's new cred layout has been unveiled:
  17. They're just better at prevention/replacement, there's plenty of vandalism in the Paris BTM queue...
  18. True, but it's down to Merlin to provide a product that suits the price they put on it... None of the parks are worth £50+ (barely any parks are to be honest, and when the parks aren't even worth the BOGOFs based on online reviews there's a HUGE problem)... Note that I also don't think Phantasialand is worth €45 (or whatever it is now)...
  19. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones... Perhaps as well the urge and desperation to have the latest technology without ensuring it is ready for the real life setting needs to be considered...
