Nemesis opened to the public 20 years ago to day and since has been the staple attraction for Alton Towers and UK theme parks ever since. Detonator is one of my favourite rides! I think that the whole retheme for angry birds land could remove some of the 'fear factor' though, and I always assumed NI and Detenator went together, mainly due to the similarities regarding colour scheme. IMO I think that the angry birds land retheme a la merlin (changing the sign and putting a bird on top) could remove the element of fear it brings into most people as it's not just the fact it's a drop tower which makes it so omnious, the simple theming and the music tie in nicely and contribute a fair amount also. So this should be interesting come may.

Agreed, and they need to take away the signs and block off the hole in the wall where it used to be.

In my Thorpe Park, I would redesign and relocate Storm Surge. Something and somewhere like this:

Hm fair enough, don't see why It should be a rule though, it doesn't necessarily make a difference and it's just slowing down operations.

The 2 cycles are still running. I'm back on Saturday so I'll see if I can get any info on the whole 15 people rule.

The thing is it's our culture of people I went to europa last year and all but 2 rides no restraints were check at all and as soon as all bars down it was sent. But it works because all the people who go to europa know to pull down a restraint and click In any secondary belts where as in the uk my experience of working at a theme park the type of people we get it won't work if you don't check as people leave belts out I Evan Karen people trying to sit on top of a harness on stealth before

New trains with lapbars would be amazing!
The current trains are terrible, worst coaster trains I've seen I think.

Spoke to an engineer working on the ride today. He said there's nothing wrong with the ride they've just basically completely rebuilt it and it isn't ready yet. He said it should run a lot faster as a new pump has been fitted, which is good news!

2014:
- Angry Birds Land is completed, however much more effort has gone into theming the area.
- The Beach is removed and temporarily replaced with a flat grassy area.
- The Canada Creek Railway re-opens
- SAW ALIVE and all signs that it ever existed are removed.
2015:
- A Wave Swinger Ride is added to one half of the new grassy patch (Neptune's Beach)
- Next to this, a small stage and seating area is created, and this houses a new 'Madagascar Live' style show for families.
- Samurai is given a new paint job and some theming to help it fit in with the Lost City (Colossus)
- Colossus, Nemesis and Depth Charge are also painted in their original colours.
2016:
- A B&M Flyer, themed to a flying beast, opens on the island besides The Swarm. It's 160ft tall, and is similar to Starry Sky Ripper @ World Joyland, China.
- This new coaster includes a small food outlet and a shop.
- Storm Surge's supports are given a paint job to give the effect of wood, rather than metal. Waterfalls and tipping buckets are also added to the ride's flume.
2017:
- The new beach area (which houses the Wave Swinger and Live Show) is expanded and the theme is continued. A small Splash Battle ride is added.
- The rest of the grass area (formerly the Beach) is given a few picnic benches, and is used as a family picnic area. A few trees are also transported in and planted in this area.
- X is removed, along with the entire building. It is temporarily replaced with a grass patch.
- Rumba Rapids is given an entire overhaul. New boats, new theme (to fit with Nemesis Inferno). It could be themed around the flow of molten rock created by the Nemesis Inferno coaster.
2018:
- A B&M Hyper opens along the back of the park as Europe's tallest roller coaster, reaching 270ft.
- It is given a theme similar to Air at Alton Towers. It is light blue in colour, to help it blend in with the sky.

They should have kept Storm Surge in Florida where people don't care about sitting in paddling pools fully clothed because its warm...

Did you previously have an annual pass? If so just use your old annual pass number and bring your old one on the day, and then either buy or collect your new one on the day. I have emailed Thorpe Park and they have confirmed with me that this is ok

I know most people are going to disagree with me here but I personally loved 'The Noise' as it was good to hear all the chart songs and it meant that I associated some songs with the park every time I hear them, makes for some good memories, particularly Chris Malinchak- So Good To Me, which was played over the summer, id be sad to see The Noise disappear

If I'm honest, I prefer the recent Colossus' music than the older one...
